"I have a Ryobi contact-less laser thermometer with only 0.95 emissivity. I was hoping this Thermopro one will be more flexible with configurable emissivity settings. However, the readings are way way off. If the ryobi measures a glass of water at 21.0 degrees C, this will read it at 17 degrees C - which is way off.I also compared against the temperature reading of my Anova Sous Vide immersion circulator. The Ryobi was within 0.1 degrees C of the Anova, while again this ThermoPen is far off at 17 degrees C. Again, this is an impossible reading because the water has been at room temperature!This is going back."
