"The title almost sounds like this is just another book about occult practices, but it's actually an educational romp through the ages, highlighting the practices of the ancients that evolved into the various religions. It's quite enlightening. What I like most is that after reading this book, you'll realize just how ridiculous and futile all of the wars over religion have been and still are today since so many of today's religions have borrowed from the practices of our ancestors. The only difference being that along the way, power-hungry men have created adaptations to suit themselves and control the masses which ultimately led to division. The reading can be a bit heavy at times, but the typos scattered throughout the text, which is the reason why I deducted one star, provide a bit of comic relief. One section sites a man's wok and we aren't even talking about Asia. It was supposed to be work instead of wok. One of my personal favorites that still makes me giggle is the phrase cat or drink, which was obviously supposed to be eat or drink. There is enough material here to keep you entertained for days - typos and all!"

I wasn’t going to buy this after reading a lot of the reviews. But after seeing that, it looks like they have updated the book and with this being the newest edition, I am highly impressed. Plus, I couldn’t be the price. This book is simply beautiful. The pictures are high-quality and I can’t justify this book enough. So glad my impulse bought it lol!ljmw

This is not a quick or light read, but if you’re drawn to symbolism, ancient wisdom traditions, and history, it’s incredibly interesting. The reader’s edition is more approachable than the original folio but still packed with details, you’ll want to take your time with it.The print quality is good, the text is clear, and the paperback feels sturdy enough for a thick book like this. It’s definitely for people who enjoy deep, thoughtful study rather than casual browsing.Pro Tip: Keep a notebook or sticky tabs handy, there’s so much information that you’ll want to mark passages to revisit later.nab
