Good kit.Bit is very sharp and true to size. Tap has good taper to start on center and straight easily.Coils are simple to install correctly with included installer.Just couple things to be aware of is that the kit only includes coils in one length so if you are needing high load apps (ie cylinder head studs in aluminum blocks) the coils may be a little short. Same on shallow depth you may have to cut coils before install.And no, the heli coil and re coil brand inserts that are avaible in different lengths won't interchange, I tried.But for say a typical NGK "D" series spark plug the length is perfect.I'll be buying other kits from them as being a lifelong marine and motorcycle tech I see a lot of stripped threads, and this is heck of a bang for the buck.pedro

Tap is sharp and cuts through aluminium easily, however the thread would not accept the helix inserts. Maybe it needs more depth for the tap to properly widen out, but this was for a stripped hole for a scooter mirror and more than an inch just isnt possible. Helix holder snaps off very easily as well be very careful applying force. I gave it three stars for the good tap and drill bit even if it did not work for me, it might work in other situations for others!Also: tap wrench isnt included. a 1/4-1/2 tap t handle wrench will work for this, or a similar screw and clamp style tap wrench for more leverage (if you have a harder material!).I also gave them an extra star for ease of return.ALSO use some tape or something for the tab on the helix insert when you put it in the tool, it breaks off very easy. And you dont want to have to crack open your engine when you do something like sparkplug thread when the tab falls inside the combustion chamber!Other options if it ends up not working for you, since you now have essentially a m11 hole, you can drill out and tap a M12 and use a small F-M reducer to M10, otherwise its welding time.What Customers Talk About
