"I was replace rear shock on my Mini cooper Countryman R60 while I removed rear shock bolt on lower control arm. Bolt was broken in a half so I have to drill it out the thread stripped and I have to fix it out after read lots of disscussion and watch youtube I found helicoil it cheap and strong so I bought this set (M14x1.5 2D) from Amazon. It working perfect hold bolt tight as original thread. I can torque to orginal spec 121ftlb. Wow It strong than I expected. Recommended."

I was replace rear shock on my Mini cooper Countryman R60 while I removed rear shock bolt on lower control arm. Kit came with everything needed. We rethreaded the oil plug hole for F90LA Yamaha boat motor that was stripped. Had to shorten up the insert 2x before we got the right depth. We used a Dremel cutoff wheel. Just take your time when rethreading to make sure its straight.kajunkat

There are zero directions included in the kit. I also was not able to find any instructions online. I watched some similar kits being used and improvised. The tap and drill we marked with the insert size and not their actual size. The drill bit is long, way too long. I used it to repair an oil pan drain and I had to trim off almost two inches to get it to fit between the frame and pan. I finally got it to work but it was really tight. The shank is 1/2" so using a right angle drill doesn't work either. I ended up having to grab the fluted end with a drill chuck and spin it while I used a grinder to remove the shoulder to get it down to 1/2" to fit in drill. The inserts need to be red lock tighted in because they are not the expanding type. It works, but you better be ready to fiddle with it to get it right.kenneth lombardo
