"I'm changing out a number of my non-Win11-compatible PCs, going to Win11 mini-PCs. Planned to use this 6-bay enclosure with one of them. But it would not connect on the USB3.2 port.After getting a polite but useless response from the manufacturer's customer service desk, I did some testing, Using 2 "new" mini-PCs (labeled A and B below), 1 "older" mini-PC (labeled C), and one older laptop. The enclosure works on USB2.0 and USB3.0/3.1, but does not work on USB3.2: It works on USB-C only for USB3.0/3.1 machines. It does not work on USB-C for USB3.2 machines.While I realize that the product description only claims USB3.0 operation, it still should be "compatible" with USB3.2 ports, just like my old Seagate external drive, although only SS-USB (USB3.0), still connects to a USB3.2 port. There's not a whole lot to say about this, it's a simple HDD enclosure that basically turns two drives into removable USB drives with a fan.The drives mount easily with the little clip things that come on the drive trays that you use to insert them into the actual enclosure. They're positioned to line up right with the screw holes on your drives. Just make sure they're in all the way, slide the trays in, connect the USB cable between the enclosure and your PC, Plug in the power adapter, turn it on, and you're good to go. It's as simple as could be while also being its own nice and neat little self contained box.I bought this because I just got a big PC upgrade. My old rig still had two actual hard disks with files going back decades to my very first computer, and the new case doesn't really have anywhere to mount them that makes a lot of sense, but I still need access to those files, so I bought this, and it just works.I will say, it says it's rated for like 30 or 300 gigabytes a second for data transfer if you plug it into at least a USB 3 port(that's the one with the blue plastic for those of you who aren't so tech savy). I don't know if either of those numbers is accurate or not, as I did absolutely no real scientific testing or observing of the math while using this thing. But what I can say is that it definitely seems to read and write quite a bit faster than when these drives were inside the old PC for whatever that's worth.bruceb
