"While it was safe to assume that these brackets would be cast (instead of extruded or wrought) aluminum given the low price point, I was rather disappointed by inconsistent threading for the set screws. Of the package of 20 brackets, 10 had two properly tapped holes, 8 had holes tapped that had retained chips or burrs that requires chasing with a tap before the fastener could be threaded-in, and two were each missing threads altogether on one hole. While none of this warranted retiring the product for a refund, the needed rework was a waste of time and would have been even more problematic if I hadn't already owned metric taps."

The order arrived quickly (it was in stock as stated). When put to use, these corner connectors provide a very clean look. I don't know that I would rely on them for structural strength to prevent flexion of a joint, but I am using them to connect 2040 and 2060 extrusions along a long axis, so they only need to maintain to proximity of the joint.mitch
