"I got this for Christmas and was so excited, in theory it is a great idea! Unfortunately, without buying their yearly subscription you can't really do much with it. It states you can use an SD card but that portion does not work (as of December of 2024). After further review, the app had an update in December which rendered the SD card useless. I've been emailing support back and forth for over 3 weeks, they sent me out another bird feeder but it still did the same thing. Something in the app is preventing the user from being able to see anything on the SD card. The whole reason I wanted this model is because it worked with an SD card but... it doesn't. If you don't mind paying a yearly fee or only watching a live stream then go for it! The house itself is great!"

I have really enjoyed this birdfeeder and especially the bird identification feature. Once you get it set up, it informs you of every bird that comes to the feeder (sometimes this is too much but you can 'snooze' the notifications). I love the feature that identifies the birds and puts them on a birds page so you can keep up with all the different birds that have come to the feeder. The camera is easy to monitor from the app. The solar panel always keeps the battery charged up, even when we have placed it in a place that is not directly in the sun. I am really impressed with the support I have received from Yilia on their support team. When we moved, I had trouble re-subscribing to the cloud service. Yilia diligently helped me work through the issue, even to the point of sending a new birdfeeder and camera. Eventually the issue was resolved and I cannot say enough about the great support provided by Yilia. This is a great product and you can count on their support if you need it.john smith
