"I've had this bench about a month, for reference I'm 6'2, 181lbs currently and I'm on a 6/1 schedule currently so it's been used almost everyday since I purchased it.I got it for its folding which was ideal for storage. It works well in a flat position, and is alright for most incline exercises with some caveats. Here are some things I'm concerned with and after only a month I'm looking into higher quality, more expensive options:- The material backing of the bench, which I assume to be wood seems very flimsy. My first time doing tricep dips using the side of the long section on the bench, I heard the wood crackle under load at the bottom of the movement. I'm concerned in the long run it'll just give out. I'm also sketchy on doing any kind of leg work on it such as single leg step ups, since again, I worry the backing will just crack.- The legs of the bench are not very wide or thick compared to some other options I've seen, which I suppose for storage makes sense but leads into my next point.- Doing any kind of incline chest supported exercises where you're laying stomach and chest on the bench at an incline (say 45 degrees), it's very awkward to get into position because the bench is so light the shorter legs where the seat is have fully raised off the floor. I've nearly tipped forward a handful of times.This happens with body-weight just getting into position and then reaching down to grab weights it wobbles forward, or even coming into position with weights in hand (typically 25-35lbs dumbbells) which is even more awkward since I've still have had it tip forward.So incline chest supported exercises, think chest supported high rows, chest supported lateral raises, or chest supported reverse fly, it feels like I'm gambling with a full on face plant. I've gotten into the habit of pressing my feet down on the seat legs to ensure they don't lift off the floor and prevent the bench tipping forward, but it's not comfortable to have to do as I'd much rather stand with my legs flat on the floor for support and a better brace while lifting.Otherwise, for exercises where it's completely flat like bench presses etc, it works great and I don't have to worry about catching a face full of floor.Compared to some of the lower cost options, I thought the quality would decent and the bench sturdier. That's just not the case, so I'm looking into others which frankly are double or triple the cost and I'd likely have to give up the folding feature/space savings, but for safety and peace of mind I'd much rather pay to play.TLDR: When laid flat, great for most exercises. Wood backing of the bench seems flimsy, heard cracking the first time I used it for tricep dips. For chest supported incline exercises, the bench is too light, with legs too narrow and thin. Have nearly tipped forward more times than I'm comfortable with. Looking into more expensive and higher quality options with better legs and more firm support.------ UPDATE 10/17/25 --------Flybird reached out to me regarding my feedback with on their product. I was happy to hear they considered it, as well as noting it would be submitted to their Product Team as potential improvements for future iterations of this bench. I respect their willingness to hear me out, as well as offering to help me recoup the the cost of the bench. I was surprised they reached out to me at all about the issues I pointed out considering today that isn't often the case with many companies but they went above and beyond to address my concerns and were very kind to deal with.While this item may not have fit my specific needs, based on their proactive support alone I would very likely consider purchasing a more suitable product for me. As such, I've amended my initial 2 star into a 3 star because truly thoughtful customer service does go a long way in my opinion and is always very much appreciated."
