"I have a home built music studio in my room and as one can imagine, I have all kinds of stuff plugged into it. This product is amazing and it gives a cool, professional effect when I get artists in. I have my TV as the control outlet and all I have to do is turn on my TV and everything else comes to life! I am always getting compliments on my studio and the design of it as a whole! It’s extremely useful to not have your stuff running constantly and when running it supply’s plenty of power to all my hardware! Great value for your buck!"

So I don't use this for exactly what it's intended for, I use it to turn on and off my monitors and peripherals for my flight simulator setup. I guess it kind of is meant for this but it's really meant I think for phantom power not necessarily for actually turning things on and off but you can use it that way. And the way I have it set up I just power my PC on and then that powers up all the peripherals and then when I shut down my PC it Powers them down so it works really well for now hopefully it's fine with that use case. It seems to be built pretty well and while it is a little bit pricier than some other options like a remote switched outlet this is the cleanest option for this setup.austin

Things works perfectly, when you have the right thing plugged into the trigger slot. My TV and heavy class AB amplifier will successfully activate the switch. However, my class D amp, DAC, and other low power items don't trigger the switch regardless the sensitivity setting. Works well with the right thing plugged into it but only then.lovethevaoutdoors

This was an excellent & inexpensive solution for powering on and off all my audiovisual equipment from one unit. I have 4 power amplifiers connected to one audiovisual receiver (AVR). Previously, I had to turn on and off each unit individually, especially when they all do not have a 12v triggering option. With this smart power strip, I only need to use one AVR remote button to power up or down the whole system. I’m happy!jeff gammon

The media could not be loaded. Tricklestar knowingly advertises this power strip without listing a major defect, which is that it doesn’t work with “thin laptops”—in my case, a MacBook Air. While MacBook Air laptops are listed on the Apple website as 30-watt devices, and while TrickleStar claims that this power strip has a 10-watt threshold at its lowest setting, the power strip “control” outlet is defective in that it doesn’t not cut power to the “switched” outlets when the MacBook Air is not drawing power. TrickleStar knows that their power strip does not reliably work with MacBook Air or other thin laptops, and yet they refuse to state this in their product page on Amazon or in their power strip’s packaging and owner’s manual. TrickleStar is willfully withholding information about their product’s defects and limitations, and potential customers would be better off avoiding this company and its products.
