"Works with Alexa Zigbee (Echo 4). I tried other motion sensors and they either didn't pickup on motion or had a long cool down period (ie once motion triggered, sensor wouldn't work for x amount of minutes).I purchased 3 and one was bad.Update: Less than 2 months and all three sensors are not working. Unable to get in touch with seller. Reducing to one star. Seller - pls reach out to me."

Purchased for $42 in January 2026.As my Home Assistant ecosystem continues to take over the house, I picked up this 2-pack of Third Reality Zigbee Motion Sensors. At $21 a piece, they are a solid value, especially considering they come with batteries and sticky backings right in the box.The setup was effortless—they paired with my coordinator in seconds. I’ve found the range to be about 12 feet, which is perfect for most rooms. Because I wanted a more "god-eye" view of the living area, I actually 3D printed a custom corner mount to get the angle just right, and the sensors fit into it perfectly. What I really appreciate is the reliability of the PIR (Passive Infrared) technology. I have one in the laundry room, and it’s smart enough to ignore the vibrations or moving air from the machines—it only triggers when it detects actual body heat. No more "ghost" motion events! The battery life has been excellent so far, and they haven't dropped off the mesh once. If you're building out a local smart home, these are a no-brainer for lighting automations.TLDRA reliable, budget-friendly Zigbee motion sensor that integrates perfectly with Home Assistant. Uses PIR technology to reduce false positives, features great battery life, and is small enough to be easily mounted (or custom-mounted) anywhere.robert white

I’ve been using these for 3 years in my Smartthings home and I’ve only had to replace the batteries once. They synced up easily enough and they work consistently and quickly. I don’t love all of ThirdReality’s products, but these are worth it.nick

This motion sensor does what it’s supposed to and does it well. I run it using Zigbee2MQTT on Home Assistant, and it integrates seamlessly. The detection is quick, the cooldown is around 30 seconds, and automation triggers are instant. It uses AAA batteries, which I really appreciate—easy to replace and longer-lasting than coin cells. I love Third Reality products and have many of them in my setup, and this one continues that streak of reliability and value. Solid field of view, dependable performance, and a great fit for any smart home. What Customers Talk About
