"Cons:if you intend to use the screws at attach these sensors, be forewarned I was not able to successfully remove the magnet cover on any of the sensors to get to the screw holes. Cracked every one of them, even knowing how they come apart. Damn near sent um back for this alone. If you want to add an external contact it would be relatively difficult and there are sonoff sensors much better adapted to this.Pros:Outstanding distance allowed between the sensor and the magnet on an even surface. Decent to OK gap on an uneven surface. So if you got a big gap and the door and the frame line up well then this is your sensor. (Had to remount one as it would not "open" the contact on the application I was using it for.)If you distance is more of an angle as in the door seats past the frame, there is some decent distance, like around 45 degrees at about 1/2 an inch. they fall off quick if not flush, but still decent.Uses AAA and semi-easy to replace. beats a coin type any day."

Great value for the money, and the simple AAA batteries (included) and long battery life make this a nice low maintenance way to keep track of if a door/window is open or closed.Unlike the Aeotec/Smart Things sensors, this does NOT track tilt/temperature/vibration, but on the flip side, the battery will last FAR longer then that sensor, and it doesn't use annoying coin based batteries which are far more expensive.Like everything made by this brand, it pairs into home assistant extremely easily and it 'just works'.

Great sensor and happy that it adds to my Zigbee network. I’m super happy that the contacts can be fairly far away. Be sure to clean the area you’re sticking to and they’ll last forever.

Love these sensors. They pair almost instantly and are a great addition for my home assistant setup to automate all my lights. I’m also using them for my own local security system. Definitely the best value out there for sensors. You can’t go wrong with any Thirdreality product.

These are great door/window sensors that have been super reliable for me so far. I was tired of a few other brands falling off my Zigbee network, so I went to trusty ThirdReality and haven't been disappointed. They are a bit bigger than alternatives, but that's because they pack a couple of AAA batteries which I expect to last a long time (given their record with other Zigbee devices). It's been several weeks and no battery issues so far; I would guess they'll last months or even years depending on usage.ThirdReality is also a Home Assistant partner, which means they actually test their stuff with Home Assistant and ZHA for their Zigbee stuff. It's perfectly compatible with my Sonoff Zigbee radio, as well as the Home Assistant ZBT-2 I recently switched to.They're a bit on the large size and not particularly pretty, but I don't think you could find a more reliable contact sensor for doors or windows (or drawers, or car chargers, or toilet lids… whatever you freaks are automating!) or a better value anywhere else. If you have the physical space, I'd highly recommend them!

SIZE: Smaller than expected, it was described in millimeters, and the conversion just didn't work in my head (30mm = 1.1811inches)??? Now I can carry it with me and see what it fits into.SETUP: It was easy to connect to the Samsung SmartThings app. It reports actions very quickly, like within a few seconds, versus Wyze, which took at least 10 seconds.PLAN: Now need a way to make it waterproof so it can be used on the mailbox. The goal is to replace the Wyze contact sensor, which gave me a notification that the mailbox had been opened when mail was delivered.

Just installed today. One of the EASIEST sensors I have ever added to Smartthings. As of now it’s working as expected. Too early to comment on battery life but I’ll try to add an update in the future.
