Looks well made and supposed to be a drop in replacement. Not that quick! The top and bottom terminals are reversed compared to standard builder grade GFCI you may have in your home or the AmazonBasics one. If you have no power in the outlets and get a solid green indicator light, then you have the wires reversed (LOAD <=> LINE) i.e. top and bottom terminals. Never swap the left/right or the Silver/Brass wires. Leviton ships the outlets in the tripped position, you have to press RESET to power the outlet i.e. you will have no indicator light after correct installation and power turned on. Tamper Resistant receptacle is not the easiest to plug in when you need to.Anonymous

I installed a very large 120V bedroom air conditioner. I though that I would be providing greater protection for this expensive air conditioner by switching my wall receptacles from standard to GFI. Wrong. The GFIs kept tripping out, whereas the standrd receptacles did not. I had to switch back. My fault. A GFI appears to be spookier than a standard.chris robin hurley
