"I bought this yoghurt maker expecting the temperature to be 38C which is in the range to make l bacillus reuteri fermentation . Too high a heat kills this strain. I was checking with my thermometer and found it was reaching 42+ degrees. I had to limp along constantly checking the brew, turning the machine off, checking heat, switching it back on for an hour then waiting to start it up again. This particular yoghurt is best with a 36 hr stint, so I had to switch it off over night and insulate it overnight with a thick towel. What a faff. However those of you who are not as nerdy as me will find it fine for reculturing a shop bought yoghurt. Which I also do. The machine is nice, light and compact to keep on work surface. The ceramic pots are lovely although not all of the lids fit exactly. I also invested in the large 1.5 l pot which is great for a larger batch of your every day yoghurt. If you are on your first exploration of home yoghurt making this is a well priced machine to start your journey."

Made excellent plant based yogurt. The first batch was Alpro sugar free yog as a starter and Aldi's essentials soya milk. This is the inly soya milk I have found that contains only soya beans water and salt. (I'm in the UK) mixed them together and put them in the maker for a total of 22 hours. I checked it after 12 hrs and 16 hrs but it looked grainy. It still looked grainy after 22 hours but did firm up in the fridge. It was thinner than I would have liked but it was perfectly edible although a bit tangy. Second batch I used the same soya milk but Alpro plain as a starter. This contains a little sugar which I'd read the bacteria like. Again I did 22 hours. It came out slightly thicker than the first batch but a much nicer taste. The third batch was one of the yogurts I'd made, as a starter, the same soya milk and 1 teaspoon (5ml) of sugar. This time I did the full 24 hours, left it in the maker to cool and then into the fridge to cool. This yogurt was a lovely taste and consistency. I used a big dollop of yogurt and 800ml of soya milk so as not to overfill the pots otherwise you will end up with yogurt in the seal of the lids, making cleaning more difficult. The pots, filled half an inch from the top, is a perfect portion. Love this yogurt maker and it's going to more than pay for itself.

Great tool to make yogurt at home! We have been saving lots of money producing our own yogurt. Keep in mind the home made yogurt is never as thick as supermarkets one, but if you play around with type of yogurt you use, milk temperature and incubation time you can get very nice yogurt. Also lovely ceramic vases

I love this yogurt maker. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning but have been using it for months now, making Bulgarian and Greek yogurt and it comes out perfect every time.

The yoghurt maker doesn’t take up a lot of space and is so easy to use. You do your yoghurt mix put it in the maker and set the timer. Wait for the beep and you have perfect yoghurt. I hope there will be a spare ceramic bowl in the future. I bought the jars as a spare choice but they are on the small size. However, a spare bowl would be a great add on option. Great price, quality and arrived vey quickly. Would thoroughly recommend.
