"Dents on top-front & -back edges, top and rear panels. No fan port (like in the pictures) which might lead some (like me) to hope for some convection air flow (minus an extra star), no insulation (unless you count air) or door gasket. Loose screws. A thermostat mounted in the next compartment. No pre-heat indicator. Lots of smoke when you turn it on the first time. Some rather thin sheet metal. (4) heating elements (good).Addendum: I added 1/2" ceramic refractory blanket in the top compartment, and gold thermal foil on the inside back, bottom, front glass (except a 1" peephole slot), and a 2" strip on the sides. The 350 degF setting is very close, 425 degF comes about 1/8" past that setting. MAX tops out at 476 with both elements on, thermostat cycling, 466 with the bottom elements only, constantly on.Some more good points: the door handle is reasonably cool, and the door has a partially open position for cool down and stays down at the fully open position. Temps were measured with an uncalibrated k-type thermocouple. The mods dropped the door temp about 100 degF, and reduced the other surface temps of course.Addendum 2: I use this for making surface mount PC boards where I have to follow a temperature profile to preheat the boards and parts, spike the temp up to melt the solder paste, then step down. I have a K-type temperature probe mounted through the back panel read by an Arduino microcontroller. The MCU controls a solid state relay that switches power to the heating elements. The OEM thermostat is bypassed. I had to switch to a lower temperature paste which has worked well and stresses the parts less."

This oven is pretty good. The only problem I have with it is the door opening I wish it was larger. Small items are not a problem but bigger items items I keep bumping the door opening, and knocking off some powder and have to redo it. So before you use it, dry run the part so you'll have good idea of the best way to put it in and hang it. Still it's a good oven and no regrets of the purchase.slim ricaso

Inventory did just what they said it did. I use mine for powder coating. You need to maintain 450 deg for 25 minutes. Has no problem. Great oven for the price. Not the toughest thing out here but if you don’t drop it it should last awhile.r wharton

It’s a nice enough oven for powder coating small parts, but the temperature on the dial is nowhere close to the actual temperature in the oven. I use a probe inside with an external digital temperature readout. There’s about a 40-50 degree discrepancy with the temperature dial. The photo shows a little over 350°, but the actual temperature as shown on my ThermoPro is 400°.robert crandall

First off I have been buying the Eastwood ovens which were just horrible pieces of crap. I had 3 and not one worked correctly. When the last one died I reluctantly was going to buy another one but they have stopped selling them. probably due to all the issues. So I looked at this one and really liked that it was slightly larger and showed two really nice flip type racks. When it came in I was disappointing to see that it only had one very light duty rack (see photo). I spray Railroad spikes as my color samples and it wouldn't even hold 3 of them without bending!I took some trash-picked closet racks and cut them. I did tack weld a side rail to one side for stability (see photo). The good parts that I like are the adjustable heating elements. My other ovens did not have this feature.the temperature range was great the highest is higher than I will go. At the 450 setting I hit 480 so you do need to play with the dial as they are never exact. For instance to get to my 400 degrees I need to set it to about 375. But that.s fine for me.I tend to run all my ovens too long and did on this one as well. After about 2 hours it should be allowed to cool down some. The only indicator I had was the rack started getting tight as the side walls were swelling. Again, I can live with that.Since there are very limited suppliers of these small bench-top ovens, I would say this is very good for the price but they really need to improve the rack and make replacement racks available. I found one but it said 'unavailable'For the price I do recommend it for small items that you just don't want to waste energy running the large oven for. What Customers Talk About
