"If you are looking at this listing you are probably like me – someone who likes to toast bagels and bagel sized bread. And you are either like me with a “not big enough” toaster to replace or trying to not be like me and getting it right the first time.This is a big enough toaster – see picture, banana for scale. Better than the banana, see the bagel. Plenty of room in each slot. Toasting power is excellent with a good browning on the first “cook.” The uncut side gets good heat too so you should have no issue with thick toast.Build seems very sturdy, significantly heavier than the plastic one it is replacing for us. Actually the build might be the only negative for me. Its so shinny its going to need a lot of cleaning time! Speaking of cleaning, the crumb tray is excellent and easy to use. No more excuses if you make the smoke alarm go off.You can see the display. That is time in minutes and seconds. This was at maximum. If you adjust the dial while it is cooking the timer will adjust too. Nice feature.The sides get warm but not hot so you can move it around while its toasting or immediately after and not burn yourself. I just checked it 10 minutes after the last use and its cool enough to pack into a cabinet without issue.NOTE: The first two times I used this the toaster stuck in the down position with the coils on even after the timer ran out. I have used it three times since and had no issues. I believe there might have been some shipping stickiness in the springs that needed to be worked out. I was initially very concerned but it has not repeated sticking since. Recommend running it at least one time empty to test the release spring. If I get a repeat I will edit the review."

I picked this up to replace my current 4 slice toaster which now that the kid is out on her own we just don't need and it was nice to have some of the counter back with the smaller toaster.The toaster features a simple press button and knob to set the timer. After you engage the toaster it does a timed countdown. The toaster is stainless steel. It is about 12x8x7 inches in size. It handles crumpets, toast, bagels and more easily. The first thing that stands out is the stainless steel finish and the high-tech LED digital countdown timer. The LED display shows exactly how much time is left in the toasting cycle. The extra - wide 1.5-inch slots are perfect for thick-cut artisanal bread, bagels, or English muffins, the 6 shade settings, you can get your toast exactly how you like it—from a light golden tint to a deep, dark crunch, the Defrost, Reheat, and Cancel functions work exactly as they should. I can’t believe I’ve gone my whole life without having a timer on my toaster! I love that this toaster has that feature! I had a very basic toaster before this, which was fine, but now I can’t ever go back. This toaster has a digital display that shows you the number setting and then counts down the toasting time. The toaster is a great quality stainless steel, so it looks nice, as well. It’s pretty much a standard sized toaster as far as counter space that it takes up, but the slots seem a bit wider to be able to fit things like bagels. It has several roast settings and also includes defrost and reheat buttons. I have been making bagels for my kids for breakfast this week, and I have it set on 3, which makes it perfect and evenly toasted, as well.
