"I have purchased this toaster twice. The lever on the first one stopped working after a couple of years and I had to replace it. This is my favorite toaster ever but it is not the best toaster I have ever had. What I mean is that I am very happy with the features and function of this toaster but it's not of the highest quality (nor the highest price, to be fair). I like that the controls are in the front and not on the side. I like that the slots are long - the artisanal breads I prefer fit completely into the slots. I like the dial control for the darkness rather than buttons with pre-defined levels of toasting. I like the wide openings that fit bagels and other "fat" breads. I like that I can toast several pieces of toast at the same time. I do not like all the crevices in the top of the toaster that are constantly full of crumbs and impossible to keep cleaned out. I also wish it had a lift-up feature that makes it easier to remove smaller pieces of bread. This is a great toaster for the price. I will try not to break this new one by over cleaning the inside, breaking the clip that makes the lever stay down, which is what happened to the last one!"
