"I wanted to try these for my two English bulldogs because they didn’t do well on the Whimsies dental chews. I like that it doesn’t have wheat gluten in the ingredients because of my dog’s allergies. The seaweed and green tea that the product boasts are the last listed on the ingredients, so I wonder how much is actually in each chew. As far as taste goes, both my dogs gobbled them up like treats, so it passed that test. I will recommend not giving this to your dog if they have a tendency to not chew smaller treats. Pretty much pointless in giving it to your dog if they’re just going to swallow it after one or two bites, if any at all. I say this, because one of my dogs has a tendency to be overly excited when it comes to any kind of food, and he will gobble it up without chewing sometimes. He did that with this, swallowed after one bite each time. So I’m not giving it to him, and his brother will be the only one receiving these because he’s a ‘delicate eater’ lol. They’re both English bulldogs, and the chew took about 10-15 seconds for my delicate chewer to finish off.The chews have a very light sweet scent to them, they smell good. Do they freshen breath? I mean, neither of my dogs have stinky breath issues since I brush their teeth regularly, but they still have ‘dog breath’. Their breath doesn’t smell like the chews, if anyone is wondering. The price is a bit high, but it’s a good quality product not made from a bunch of mystery ingredients. Not that it’s a limited ingredient chew, but I like that I understand what the ingredients are, any my food sensitive dog can have it. According to the back, my dog can eat up to 6 of these chews, but I’m only going to give as a treat mainly because of the filler ingredients and I don’t want him having a digestive issue. For now, I’m going to continue giving these as treats to him and will closely monitor him for improvements or changes. Will update!PS. There's a surprise in the bag, I really liked that! I'm not going to reveal what it is to keep the mystery."

Key Takeaway: A thoughtfully formulated vegan dental chew with quality ingredients and great palatability, but better suited for small to medium breeds than large, fast chewers. These sea-star dental chews were an immediate hit in my house. My 68 lb Weimaraner loved them without hesitation. They smell pleasant (not overly “seaweed-heavy”), feel dry and clean in hand, and don’t leave residue on teeth, lips, or fingers. The ingredient profile is what initially caught my attention. The blend includes kelp, spirulina, ascophyllum nodosum, and green tea extract — all commonly associated with oral health and breath support. From a formulation standpoint, it feels well thought out. That said, size matters here. For a 68 lb dog, the recommended daily allowance is nine chews. Each chew is relatively small, and for a large, fast chewer, they’re gone in under 30 seconds. Because of that, the “360° deep clean” claim doesn’t feel realistic for a dog like mine — there simply isn’t enough chewing duration for significant mechanical scrubbing. I also haven’t noticed a measurable difference in breath yet, though it may require longer use. From a value perspective, using six per day means the 7.6 oz bag would be depleted quickly for a large breed. If these were produced in a larger, longer-lasting size for big dogs, my overall opinion would improve significantly.Overall, it’s a good product with solid ingredients and strong palatability. For small to medium dogs or slower chewers, this could be a great daily dental option. For large, fast chewers, it functions more like a quick treat than a true dental workout.Pros:Thoughtfully chosen vegan ingredient profilePleasant smell with no residueDog-approved tasteCons:Undersized for large breedsVery short chew time for fast chewersNot cost-effective for big dogs at recommended serving

These are a pretty unique dog treat. I guess I think of them as a gourmet treat since the ingredients are pretty unique compared to what is usually in my girls goodies. Ingredients like Korean seaweed, kelp, spirulina, green tea and ascophyllum nodosum (which I have no idea what that is). Other than the one I don't recognize the other ingredients are all good for anyone, canine or human. Now I won't be eating these but at only 16 calories a piece and their added teeth cleaning benefit they will be great for my dog.It took her a second or two to accept it when offered. It obviously smelled a little different. Truth be told it barely has any smell at all. Maybe a slight fresh and clean smell which is way better then some of those smelly beef treats.I'm really happy to find these and test them out. Unfortunately in my mind they are much too expensive for a relatively small (7.4oz) bag of treats for my dog. If this were a large 1.5 or 2lb bag I would feel differently about the price. Too bad. If the cost goes down or there is ever a good sale I would buy another bag for sure.

I tried out these Seaweedog Dental Chews for my pup and overall they’ve been a nice addition to his dental routine. The seaweed-infused chews have a texture that encourages chewing, which helps scrape away tartar and can leave breath fresher over time — something lots of seaweed-based dental treats aim to do.My dog seems to really enjoy the taste and happily gnaws on them, which is half the battle with dental chews. After a few weeks of giving them regularly, I’ve noticed his breath smells better and his teeth look a bit cleaner — not a replacement for brushing, but a helpful extra. Just make sure the chew size matches your dog’s mouth so he chews and doesn’t gulp them down too fast. All in all, they’re a tasty, natural-feeling dental treat that my dog looks forward to, and as part of a bigger oral care routine they’ve been solid.

I really like these star shaped teeth cleaning treats for the dogs. I've found most dental treats do nothing but I keep buying them. A neighbor told me that she gives her dogs a seaweed powder you put in the dogs food to clean her dogs teeth, but I didn't buy it because I always forget to add supplements to their food. When I saw these treats and their key ingredients I decided to give them a try as treats are much easier for me. The most important thing is my dogs really like these chews. They are bigger than I thought they would be which is a definite plus. I started giving each dog 1 treat a day and am working my way up, and using them mainly as an addition to my infrequent brushing to keep their teeth clean. I think these are good quality treats and am hoping they help with keeping the dogs teeth clean. I will report after their next check up and plan on ordering these treats again and will keep using them.

These stars look like they are quality produced, and maybe there's more to them than meets my eye. My younger Goldendoodle is a finicky eater, and she happily eats her star - it takes her about 3 bites, with 10 chews per bit, so that's something. My older pig of a Goldendoodle wolfed hers down lickety split. I'd much rather it lasted longer, so that at least I could imagine it doing a better job of scraping her teeth.I didn't notice anything special about them, i.e. no minty scent, etc. - I do plan to give to them later today between meals if I'm around and try to catch a whiff of their dog breath (they each get daily dental chews anyway and they generally have as good a breath as a dog will have).I'm not sure there are any great, special nutrients, and though they talk about 16 holes in them, I'm not sure that's anything special. At a price of $25, I think this is very expensive. If my vet suggested, I'd think twice, but otherwise for the money I think there are better choices. I don't plan to order again.
