"I feel I was misled to think this would protect my electronic purchase only to find out that Asurion defers me to the product manufacture for a repair. In other words, I wasted my money on the Asurion plan for an extra year of “insurance” on this product and I suspect I won’t need it by then and/or something better will be available. Don’t waste your money on these plans. Such a scam."

I had to use my insurance plan to replace my iPad case. Initially I was sent back to the merchant because I was supposed to be covered under their warranty but to no avail. Once I informed Asurion they sent me the return label along with the instructions which were extremely easy to follow. I selected my drop off location after packing the case back up and within 24-48 hours I received my refund.Now the one downside I do not like (and it may be user error) was that the funds went to my Amazon account as a gift card. It says you can transfer the funds to your bank card from there but I did not see that option nor was it easy to find. So maybe adding instructions on how to transfer from the gift card back to your original form of payment in an easy to locate/navigate location would make this a 5 star ⭐️ review.Overall, for what I paid for the insurance versus what I would have paid to replace the case is worth the value of the plan for my money in my books!Smart shoppers protect their money! I will ALWAYS add the insurance when it is offered. I am seriously contemplating just doing the monthly payment for the amount of stuff I buy from here.In other words buy the insurance… It’s totally worth it!andrew

I like a brand of computer mouse that is known to have mechanical issues after a year or two, so i bought the protection plan. The mouse did end up not fully working about 3 months before the protection plan ended so i submitted a claim, explained what was wrong, and was almost instantly refunded the full price i had paid. Based on what i paid this time for the protection plan on my new mouse it was about 10-12 dollars originally for the plan on my old mouse.searcher
