We had an opportunity to use the 2-year Asurion extended warranty we had purchased via Amazon for our failed product. Our experience was excellent. Their web site was simple and easy to use. Their response time in resolving and handling of our claim was very fast. In our case, the resolution was an Amazon account refund which was sent to us via email within an hour. We will certainly use Asurion extended warranties in the future and would recommend them to anyone.mary a alcala
It was a tight fit getting it over the center core. Left it in for…
It was a tight fit getting it over the center core. Left it in for 4 hours, then tried to take it out and it pulled the cone out with it, breaking the cone in the process. I tried lubricating the 6" opening of the filter to get it free from the cone but ir wouldn't budge. I couldn't run the pump (even with the old filter) without the cone. I had to cut the cone out using a sharp blade to cut a little of the inner filter to release the center cone. The new filter never went down all the way. Another thing I noticed is that the bottom gasket is no thicker than the old filter, which cracked. The pleated material appears to be the same thickness as the old one, which is another reason I wanted a better filter with better filtration to clear up my pool. I didn't want to spend the extra $100 with a pentair filter, since you can't trust some Amazon sellers, they will say the item will fit your system, then it doesn't. Plus, things have changed with Amazon, returns are not as efficient, even with prime it takes forever to receive something. Can't return the filter since it has been altered (by cutting it).fletcher h kee
