"I picked up this Amazon Smart Plug specifically to use with my Christmas tree, and it has worked flawlessly. Setup took less than a minute—Alexa detected it instantly, and I was able to name the plug “Christmas Tree” so I can control it with simple voice commands. Now I can turn the tree lights on and off hands-free, which has been incredibly convenient during the busy holiday season.The scheduling feature in the Alexa app is also great. I set the lights to come on automatically in the evening and turn off before bedtime, so I don’t have to reach behind the tree or remember to unplug it. The plug fits securely in the outlet and doesn’t block the second socket, which is a big plus when you need multiple things plugged in.The only drawback is that it only works with Alexa, but if your home already uses Echo devices, this smart plug makes decorating and daily routines so much easier—especially for holiday lighting."
