"I'm usually a fan of TMKB's stuff but this keyboard doesn't make any sense at $50 to me.The TMKB T81E is your typical sub-$100 75% linear switch keyboard. It's fairly well built despite being all plastic but it's actually quite rigid. It has sturdy two step flip out feet along with double-shot keycaps that look and feel reasonably high quality, although TMKB does not state what kind of material they are. Based on how they look and feel, I'm going to assume ABS. Also, the outer shell does feel like it's a bit on the cheap side and it's not very weighty - but that's not really a significant drawback until you factor in the price. The switches are listed as 45 gram "Blueberry" switches but they are branded Jixian and bear a pretty strong resemblance to Holy Dogs apart from the different colored stem. They feel okay - smooth overall but a little scratchy on off-center keypresses. Definitely not in the same ballpark as Leobog Reapers or Haimu Sea Salts in my opinion, but they're a fine typing experience nonetheless. In terms of other features, the keyboard features a full suite of RGB customization, along with key mapping and macro features. That said, the software/driver experience is TERRIBLE. TMKB committed the cardinal sin of many modern keyboard companies and used a web based customization tool for the T81E. This means that if TMKB's site goes down for any reason in the future and you lose access to the tool: you're SOL if you want to reconfigure your keyboard. This bodes really bad for ownership and I am well beyond giving products that implement this kind of garbage a pass. There is also no option for wireless connectivity which really lowers the overall value of this keyboard for me.TMKB had a real big swing and a miss with this one. It hits the two marks that ruin an otherwise fine keyboard for me: bad software and worse value. The T81E should be a sub-$40 keyboard at minimum and even then; the OniKuma G83 destroys this thing at that price. It feels higher quality, has PBT keycaps, better switches, and proper locally installed software. That's the best keyboard I've reviewed at this price point, bar none. TMKB needs to do better."

Klare Kaufempfehlung!asp

I really like this keyboard. It's the perfect size for my desk. A full keyboard takes up too much precious desk real estate, whereas a smaller 60% keyboard is too compact! I feel like this 75% board is the perfect compromise. I have smaller boards and hey don't have spacing between the number keys and the F# keys, which initially I thought I wouldn't mind, but over time I've noticed I'd accidentally tap them. Thankfully this board has a small amount of added space to avoid those accidental taps. There's also space added to the arrow keys and the home, end, page up and page down which is nice. The knob works good and is responsive, I'm not super into it, but at the same time I'm glad it's there for ease of use. Because of the spacing th board feels perfect and is very comfortable to use.The sound of each key isn't entirely quiet, but ain't clicky neither. The weight of the boars feels average for its size. The board looks fantastic with its RGB modes, but even if this board has no lights this board still looks good with its base look.Overall this board is solid. It works great, is the perfect size, and the board looks nice too.p wells

I’ve been evaluating this keyboard for about a month now, giving it enough time to expose any flaws, quirks, or long-term annoyances. Honestly? There aren’t many. My only real gripe is simply that it’s not a full-size keyboard. I’m a full-size keyboard person through and through, and whenever I use 75% TKL boards I always end up missing my numpad. This board is no exception. But since it is designed as a 75% TKL, I can’t hold that against it.This is a fully wired-only keyboard, which is actually a plus for me. No Bluetooth, no 2.4 GHz dongles to lose, fewer potential issues, and typically a lower cost since wireless features aren’t free. The keyboard includes a full F-key row, which I appreciate, and the switches feel quite nice. The sound profile isn’t thocky — it’s a bit more high-pitched — but still has that crisp, satisfying click-clack that feels good under the fingers. The RGB is excellent. I generally stick with the rolling rainbow effect, and I’m really happy that I was able to slow the animation speed way down. At the slowest setting, the color wave looks fantastic. The keycaps, while a bit thin (likely responsible for that higher-pitched sound), do feel good and are excellent shine-through caps. Plenty of brightness comes through, making them easy to read even in dim lighting. There are also RGB side light bars, which don’t sync with the main lighting. They run their own pattern, and while I can’t directly see them from my normal sitting position, I occasionally catch the glow on the sides. It’s not distracting to me, but someone more OCD than I am might notice it.The board has a solid weight to it and feels well-constructed. The volume knob in the top-right corner works exactly as expected — up, down, and press to mute. No surprises there. My one usability complaint is that, as a 75% board, some keys require FN combos… but the keycaps don’t show any legends for those functions. Most of my other boards print the secondary functions directly onto the caps, which is very convenient. This board does include a full keymap in the manual, but printing those legends on the caps would be a nice quality-of-life improvement. Now — the price. At its current price point, this keyboard is going to have a tough time competing with more established brands that already dominate the keyboard market. I own several boards at or below this price that are arguably nicer overall. That doesn’t mean this keyboard isn’t good — it actually is a very nice little board — just that it feels like it’s stretching a bit for its price tier. All things considered, despite a few quirks and my personal preference for full-size boards, this really is a well-made and enjoyable keyboard.TL;DR:Solid wired 75% board with good switches, great RGB, and a satisfying (if slightly high-pitched) sound. Keycaps are nice but thin, FN legends are missing, and price is its biggest hurdle. Still a well-built and enjoyable keyboard if you like this layout.vine reviewer 3990

This keyboard blew me away. I love messing around with different low cost keyboards to find value kings, and this is one of them! I use a higher end $200 keyboard daily, and this barely felt any worse. The RGB is phenomenal for a low cost device, bright with smooth animations. The volume knob is metal and feels super solid. Zero complaints from me!What Customers Talk About
