"This arrived well protected by open cell foam in a very descriptive box. Inside was just the charger itself and the attached braided cable. The design is very unique and looks great. This is definitely something you would want to use on your desk rather than the floor. The lighting is really neat and you can change it via a button to whatever color you like. This is very heavy. It feels of good quality construction but due to lack of useful safety information I have concerns. All I have is their marketing to go by, and frankly in this case that is not enough. It did work without issue and fully charge both my Quest 2 and Steam Deck at the same time. It did this fairly quickly with the Quest 2 plugged into a 30w USB port (The Quest 2 charges at around 10C w), and the Steam Deck was plugged into a 100w USB port (As the Steam Deck can charge at 40 to 45w, and the 30w ports would not charge at full speed). So, although it worked fine, these are the issues I have with it, and they all relate to how safe I think this unit is. Firstly, with just two things plugged in and charging, it got exceedingly warm. I don't think I should feel any heat at all, and there was more than just a little.Second, I emailed the company to find out what the equivalent joule protection is for the outlet plugs. The marketing says it is active protection, but that tells me nothing. I need to know the exact joules it will handle before it fries. Will it handle a 500 joule surge, or 5000 joule surge? The companies response to my email was nothing. I did not get a response.Thirdly, while this is certified FCC for interference, and California Prop 65 for most likely containing cancer causing chemicals (as most electronics do, but humans generally do not eat electronics, although something to keep in mind if you have young children), this is not Underwriters Laboratory certified. This to me is the most important thing. Underwriters Laboratory (UL) is an independent organization that tests the safety and performance of products under normal to extreme conditions. A UL certification means the unit passed and is safe to use. This does not mean that something won't ever go wrong, but it does mean that you can be reasonably assured of the safety of a product. All the other surge protectors that I have, and I have a lot, do not get hot, even with many more items plugged in and charging. They all clearly state the joule protection, which is significantly above 2000 joules, and they are all UL certified, so I know they are safe. They do not look as pretty as this, but they cost 1/3rd the price. The best I can do because of these issues is 3 out of 5 stars. Getting this UL certified would go a long way to improving this score, so I know its safe.Because of what this does, product safety should come before everything else. As warm as this gets with minimal use, the lack of response from the company about how much surge protection in joules there actually is, and the lack of independent safety testing from Underwriters Laboratory, I cannot recommend this product."

The Genki Moonbase looks very different than the traditional charging stations. The three power outlets have leds and you can change the color of them.I like how they went with USBC as a connector on the four ports. I do have USBA cords still but I have those in a separate adapter at the moment.I was able to charge my iPhone, Kobo eReader and iPhone with ease. I didn’t get the slow speeding charger notification on my phone when using it.As of now I have an additional 3 port charger on it for the USBA port. I plan on replacing that cable with USBC so I could be done with that connector. Let’s be honest, we always push it in, then it doesn’t go, flip it, it doesn’t go and then flip it again and it goes in. I hate USBA.Power wise, it seems to handle that well. I was looking at the spec and I should also be able to power my MacBook Pro off of it too.I like the cool look. It is also heavy! That is a good thing, it won’t slide off your desk or move around! It stays in place like it should, it glows and powers my devices all unobtrusively.

I really like this product and hope they continue the line.

First, the LED function. You get to choose slowly pulsing colors from Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Magenta, Teal, White, or OFF, or alternating. (when alternating is chosen, they seem to change from dim of one color to medium of the next instead of dim)The color select button is touch sensitive and always lit the same color (teal).USB C charging is great with up to 140Watts on a single port and another 100Watt device at the same time.Listing suggest two more 30W devices can be charged, but that would make up to 300Watts, not just 240W as shown. (So I'm not certain if power is pulled back from the 140W and 100W devices for the two 30W?). I can't put it to a full test in the 240/300W arena so I thought I'd point that out.For my needs I have an 87W laptop, 85W laptop, 30W phone and 30W tablet - all of which are able to be charged simultaneously. This perfectly suits my needs all with ONE power strip that also powers three AC devices!(Photos don't do the LED's justice as my flash overwhelms the LED's)

There are two color power strips to choose from. My favorite is the blue color. The outlet capacity is 240W which is a good amount of power for several consoles. I do like how there are USB-C ports in the power strip. The strip is medium sized so it is still portable for travel. The three outlets and four ports make this strip very functional. The strip is very expensive and it should be at least half the price.

This was an interesting little setup the first time I plugged it in. I really like the retro glow it gives off.. kind of a soft “sci-fi” night light on my desk instead of a boring power strip. I’ve got my laptop, phone, and a couple other things hooked up and they all charge full speed - no “slow charging” warnings or anything weird. Having USB and outlets all in one spot makes it way easier to dump everything there at night and be done with it. Looks cool, works like it should.
