"I like to go camping, but I confess I’m not the kind ‘backpacking camper’ who comes to mind when you hear that someone’s going to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, 2,650 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border all the way to Canada. Yikes! That’s not going to be me; I like to enjoy nature in smaller, more manageable doses. More comfortable doses, if you’d rather say it that way (don’t judge).My idea of camping is to load up my pickup truck with as many comforts as I can reasonably take with me and still make believe that I’m ‘roughing it,’ and spend a few days at a nice camping spot in a state or national park. There you’ll find me in a two-person tent (it’s just me, but I like some elbow room), my sleeping bag on a low cot instead of the cold, hard ground, and from now on, this low folding table next to my cot.First, it’s just the right size. When folded it feels like a small briefcase, a compact 16” by 11.5” and a little over 4” thick. When unfolded and set up it’s 10” high with a surface that‘s about 34” long and just under 16” wide. I think that’s perfect all around: compact for transporting, but big enough to be useful when set up without taking up too much space in my tent. Yeah, this is going to be great. (Pics for this review taken in my back yard, but the setup is the authentic!😄)Made of high quality aluminum, it has a nice, solid appearance and feel to it. It’s advertised as supporting up to 66lbs, and definitely feels like it will do so. Four latches lock the sections in place when the table is set up; for a folding table that barely tips the scales at 6lbs it’s remarkably sturdy and steady.If you don’t like camping you could certainly use this for a picnic: spread out a blanket, unfold this table, and break out the picnic basket! You’ll have a nice flat place off the ground away from the ants and bugs for your food.I like it. I think it’s worth what they’re asking for it, and if you pick one up I think you’ll find it useful and you’ll enjoy it.Recommended."
