"I used the Nano clear in fall 2021 on my new cedar plank deck. I was satisfied with the Nano, though it did not last as long as I had hoped. In spring of 2023, I decided it needed to be resealed, completed in June. I saw bought the newly introduced Nano + Poly this time, but am less satisfied with the result this time. It may last longer, but Nano + Poly seems to have some disadvantages. First, it causes water to remain beaded up on the deck much longer after a rain. The standing water accumulates dirt/dust before it dries and when it does dry, it leaves a dirt spot. The dirt can be washed/scrubbed off, but it is a maintenance issue if you care about how it looks. Second, I spent a lot of time prepping the deck for this reseal job (brush scrubbed with cleaner, rinsed with oxalic and then sodium percarbonate solutions to neutralize the oxalic acid, light sanding, two coats of Nano + Poly, brush applied 20 minutes apart). Now there are small black spots sealed under the new coat that make the deck look dirty. I was hoping this was just due to having cleaned off some of the silver-grey patina that had developed, and that it would even out over the summer as it greyed again. Not so. Probably would have needed to thoroughly sand the entire deck to make it look as good as it did after the first coat. Next time, I will probably rent a sander, take off the Nano + Poly, and just use Nano only."

This is the best deck stain and sealer I have ever used. It looks great (we used light brown tint on cedar) and has been durable through heat, rain, snow and ice. Caution must be used in the application to not apply in direct intense sunlight as it can cause variability in the color and appearance (this is noted in the directions)sam
good stain sealer which has held up well for 1 year

it is water proof. there is not much review online for this product, but I went ahead and gave it try. I used it to paint the my deck floor. it turns out great. when it rains, i can see that the water beads up and runs off, instead of soaking in the wood. love it!!eric

I used the cedar color for a (chinese cedar) pergola. The color from the factory started to fade after 3 years. I was also seeing some water stains. So I figured it was time to do something. You can see the color difference in the Pic just left of the ladder. I didn't do JACK for prep. Just shook the can real good and started rolling it on. The cedar soaked it up like it was it's job. Literally dry to the touch in 10 minutes at 55 degrees F. I used a 6inch roller with 3zip lock. The biggest thing I noticed was the nap was good for 2 days if stored in a ziplock. On the 3rd day it was flattened out and would leave bubbles that would dry and not look so good. So 2 days for the roller nap then switch it out. It took me 4 days about 4 hours per day to complete my job.A week later, and it rained so you can see the water beads right up and runs off. The color looks great, i just hope it doesn't get splotchy like some of the decks I've seen. Time will tell, as for now it's great!mk
So easy to use, looks amazing!
