"I picked this up because I had wanted a second set of spanners and as this included a ratchet end it seemed like a good chance to get a set. Ratchet spanners are great for those instance when you are working in a narrow space with only a small swing. Unfortunately these are just not that well designed and the ratchet end has poor tolerances.The casting is poorly designed with a quite square section that will be very uncomfortable if you are trying to get any reasonable amount of torque. The case is awful. OK I had low expectations so I don't actually mind that as I wouldn't expect to use it but it is awkward to open and once open everything is so loose that the spanners fall out instantly.The worst problem though is the tolerance on the ratchet end. Event a visual inspection showed a lot of slack around a nut and a check with a micrometer showed it to be out by about 0.4mm. The ratchet should have a 5° swing and yes it does but a nut in the spanner is so loose that you need to double that to allow for the slack. Try that on a stiff bolt and you will just be rounding off the boltsMost of the amazon basics range is pretty good. This is the first time I have seen something that genuinely fails to be usable."
