"The media could not be loaded. Overall: Cheap keycaps, 4 extra media keys could be difficult to replace; great sound, great hot-swap mechanical switch support and smooth pre-installed linear switches; no flex; south-facing LEDs; AULA RGB strip settings not preserved. Sound test attached as a video. Read on if you want to know more.The Black Gradient colourway comes with grey keycaps with shine-through printing on the front face rather than the top. The printing is practically invisible with the south-facing LED backlight off, which doesn’t matter if you touch-type but if you ever need to resync by looking at keys, this might not be the best thing if you plan to use it wirelessly and want to save power. And the PBT keycaps and case are fingerprint magnets; despite me using this for less than a week, it has already accrued more shine on the keycaps and on the outside than a keyboard with PBT keycaps I have used for around 2 years. The shine will not come off; in fact, it gets worse with every attempt even with light cleaning because more and more material gets scrubbed off. Fortunately, those keycaps are Cherry compatible OEM profile, so you can change them. There are 4 extra media keys in the upper-right corner (calculator, mute, volume -/+) that might be difficult to find replacements for, however.The pre-installed Greywood V3 linear switches don’t themselves make any noise, and the actuation force is quite light, so the bottom-out is really easy to get to and is what makes the most noise here. The switches are very smooth all the way until the bottom-out, with no spring ping, wobbly or creaking feeling. That noise is very deep (“creamy”) and rather loud. It can be reduced with some O-rings (to be bought separately) if you prefer that. The space bar uses plate-mount stabilisers that are very well tuned with little or no detectable wobble; it not being a metal bar makes it very easy to clean underneath it and put it back on. And the very hefty frame has no flex at all.The board allows hot-swapping switches using the bundled tool and includes 4 extra Greywood V3 switches for repairs, and on the switch sockets is some foam to help make the sound creamier and deeper. The pre-installed switches are 3-pin, but the sockets allow installing 5-pin switches into it, too. Modding is a bit restricted, since screws are only accessible after removing the adhesive anti-slip rubber feet, which don’t go back on so well.Every time the USB connection is remade (cable plugged in after using wireless mode, computer rebooting, KVM switching, power loss, etc.), its AULA RGB strip comes back on regardless of the setting you left it on (Fn+Right Shift to change it). This is a nitpick, because I think that shows the battery charging status (though it never seems to reach full; it always slides to the right)."
