"Worked briefly, then completely failed — disappointing qualityI really wanted to like this pool surface skimmer because the idea is great and when it worked, it actually did a decent job. Unfortunately, the unit didn’t last long at all.After a short period of use, it stopped charging entirely and became unusable. I tried different outlets, confirmed the charger was working, and followed all troubleshooting steps. Nothing helped. For a pool device that’s supposed to live outdoors and be used regularly, this kind of failure is unacceptable.Customer support was responsive, but at that point the product itself had already failed, which defeats the purpose. This isn’t a cheap item, and I expected better reliability and durability.If you’re considering this, just be aware that quality control seems to be an issue. I wouldn’t recommend it unless the manufacturer significantly improves the build and longevity."

I used the cleaner all last summer. It was a hot summer in Michigan so I rarely needed my solar cover. The skimmer worked beautifully. It did stop working later in the summer due to what turned out to be a bent propeller shaft. Support was excellent. I was able to ship it to them and it was repaired and returned to me in working order. I have learned to pull out the rubber plug and dry the charging port when I remove the skimmer from the pool. Not doing this resulted in an error in the machine due to sensing water in the charging port. It has even captured a couple of rodents.Anonymous
