"This device is a distraction free digital notebook and E-reader. It feels great to write on and even sounds like you are using a pencil. Yes, you can tell the difference between paper and this, but it is more like paper then an Ipad. I had the note 3 c for a short time before this one and the 4 c is so much faster and all round better. If you've never owned an e-ink tablet before, it does take a bit of getting used to. The screen does flicker when it refreshes, this is normal, and all E-ink's do this. You can:Surf the webUse Microsoft and other apps.Connect a keyboard and mouseMake handwritten notes without having to type them onto a computerSync and copy things across, apart from Apple only apps i.e Apple calendarThere is a long list of features and apps this device has built in which are great. I suggest you first read up on it before buying it to make sure this is right for you. The boox 10.3 Go series is black and white only and will suite someone who only want to read and write. The boox pro series would suite someone looking for a more powerful tablet that can be more like a laptop. The note air 4 c sits in the middle of the Boox range. It is NOT an Ipad and will NOT function in the same way as an Ipad. It is NOT as fast or as smooth as an Ipad. The colours on the screen do NOT look anything like a computer or Ipad. So, if you are looking for something like an ipad, get an Ipad. If you are looking for something as a study aid or a professional work aid this, is it."

Very pleased with it. Excellent battery life. Screen is fine. Refresh rate can be tweaked to be as quick or as slow as you prefer.Runs Android which opens up lots of options. Only issue is its running Android 13, but this is an ereader, not a full blown Samsung tablet, so there has to be some compromise. Also, pen tips are soft, and I had to get new ones within 5 months (im using this for writing every day!). Easy to buy, replace and we're fairly cheap.I'd recommend it.

Excellent tablet, writing experience is very good in my opinion. Reviews are correct, screen is a bit darker than a black and white e-ink display due to the colour layer but the front light does compensate for that! Battery life is good, especially standby!! Great for reading, writing, not great for video, but that's not what an e-ink device is for!! The Boox has the advantage of access to the Play Store.

I sent this back initially, but bought another since they fixed the bugs in OS 4.0.It's very good device, if you understand the limitations of e-ink, esp colour e-ink. There are lots of videos showing how fast BSR (BOOX Super Refresh) is, albeit at the expense of battery life. However, if you read a book, the tablet goes into low-power mode, and the battery lasts ages. At full load it draws 450-550mah, on low power it drops as low as 110mah, or even 28mah with the frontlight off. So it really depends upon the demands you make of the device. It can do anything within reason for an e-reader; annotate, export edited pages as a pdf, record your voice, open just about any word document, word process, draw (sort of) surf the internet, watch videos, emails, whatever. It's well made, no creaks, with a nice matte surface.

I’ve had this for about a month now, and I’m delighted with it. The note taking works really well. The colour is perfectly good for my needs. If I lost it, I’d replace it immediately.

I looked at all the eWriters in depth. I decided on this one because it runs android 13 and so can run the Kindle app which gives me access to my 1500+ books (and all my content synched across to it unlike on my kindle paperwhite signature. It also has much better battery life than that unit).I loved everything about it then saw a few very negative reviews about it's screen and breakages/damage which made me pause.I ummed and ahhed for a very long time but then ordered it. I ordered it at 8am for same day delivery. Checked with Amazon, yes of course it is coming today. Wonderful. By 9pm I was getting anxious. Contacted support again, they were sorry I hadn't received it but as I was such a 'loyal' customer they would make sure I got it urgently. When I asked if that would be today as the tracking page STILL guaranteed, the support person laughed in my face and said no chance. So I told him where he could put the Boox and haven't bought (nor will I) any physical goods from Amazon since. I cancelled both audible and amazon immediately. On the plus side though, I ordered this direct from boox instead, they do a premium bundle slightly more expensive (£25) but it includes the cover, spare tips and the premium pen, so about £150 of extras and even better, they actually delivered it when they said they would.I've been using it for weeks now, it is lovely, and as to the fragility of the screen? Well if it's in it's case and you treat it normally then there is no problem at all.If you are on the fence then I would urge you to give it a go. It's a lovely bit of kit, my only slight niggle with it is that it is listed as 64GB - which is true - but the system grabs half of that so you are down to 32GB usable space. You can use microSD cards (it wouldn't work with my 1TB or 1.5TB cards - after a day or so they became unusable) but 128GB works fine - I store my books on there to keep the main memory free for notes. The notes sync automatically to my iPad as PDF and the excellent File Manager+ android app gives me access to all it's storage as well as remote access to my PC, Mac and Cloud storage so everything is safe and there is no 'lock in'.It's a great little device. I use it all the time as a notebook, the addition of colour is handy. The ability to run android apps so you can add on features you care about is great. That gives it the edge over the others on the market. And it looks pretty good too.
