"Why do I give a nice headline with 3 stars review. Reasons are listed below.Good part: This book covers many areas with a lot of examples to support the author's lessons. I have seen a couple instructional English pronunciation books in the last 20 years and this one goes beyond the basic lessons of listening and repeating. For instances, it describes in details how the mouth and the lips work together to produce the correct sound.Bad part: Multiple book formats won't help much. Why?Back in the old days, book like this would come with a FREE CDs for easy learning. The hard cover or the soft cover copies sold on Amazon here do not include audio lessons. What can a student learn from this book? Understand the concept and visual he/she pronounces correctly the examples in the book. However, it might not be true because he/she must hear the American says correctly in the CD lessons.Next, students who pick up the book without audio lessons decide to spend more money to purchase an audible copy to hear and read a long. This doesn't work well because the audible book copy doesn't go like old CDs with tracks such as track 11 or track 55. One audible copy chapter contains many exercises and makes it difficult to pause and listen a long with the lessons from the book. How about the audible version? it's educational book with many examples. Thus, students need to see the examples with all the vocabularies printed on hard copy to follow along. This is not a novel or self learning book where you can listen to it 10 times and learn everything.Similar to the hard cover and soft cover book without CD, the audible book should include a FREE download PDF file that lists all the exercises used in this book to help students learning along. It would be get if students could buy a soft cover book and an audible format copy to learn. Even in this case, it is still difficult to find exact audio lessons because the audible book uses a chapter that covers many examples. If you have some money, you can have a one to one lesson with the author on her homepage. Other students find it difficult to learn from a book w/o CD tracks or from audio book w/o free download pdf file.I hope the author or her publisher find a better way to sell this book. Or at least give 75% discount on the hard copy or the audio book if you already bought the book in different format. Or release a newer version with included CD tracks.Book is great but current;y I don't have a lot benefits from using it because I own audible version and can't afford to spend another $30 for a soft copy of the book."

I’ve been studying English for 15 years, and this is the best pronunciation book or course I have ever taken. I bought both printed and audio-version, I listen to it while reading, repeating sentences after the author, and it really helps me improve! Explanations are clear, examples are great, and I’m happy that standard IPA transcription is used in the booksergio cota
English Pronunciation Secrets is a well-structured book with tons of information on the correct pronunciation…
English Pronunciation Secrets is a well-structured book with tons of information on the correct pronunciation of the English language.• The explanations at the beginning of each chapter about the correct position of the mouth, tongue, jaw, lips, etc., are super detailed and easy to understand and follow. In addition, the author explains the main difficulties that a non-native of the language could have with each sound, such as confusion with other sounds, substituting some sounds with others more familiar to their native language, or omitting some sounds completely.• The practice section has a large list of words, in which you can find the sound of each chapter in different positions. Also, it includes a list of sentences in which the sound is used with a variety of words in the same sentence.• Finally, there is an audio version that I consider crucial as a complement to the book. Listening to a native of the language is essential to capture the small details of the pronunciation, in addition to being able to compare your pronunciation and make the necessary changes. Unfortunately, the audio version is sold separately, which adds cost to the package, but I still consider it a good value and investment to have both formats.Overall, I'm pretty sure that anyone trying to improve their English pronunciation will find a lot of value in this book and the audio version.ma

There are a lot of different sounds in English that don't exist in other languages. The book has all examples of different sounds in English. The book has a lot of tricks about how to move your tongue in your pronunciation. There is a holistic coverage of all sounds in different parts of the words. It is a wonderful training on these sounds.I couldn't find better. Rebecca is master in her craft and passionate about what she is doing. She is fully aware of these tricks of the tongue. It was wonderful working with her.cliente de kindle
