"The text of the book and the tutorials are excellent. The paper quality and the sketches are fantastic. Some of the watercolor pages have these small hydrophobic areas. In this photo the wash is over the entire area, but beads up and off on that one spot."

i’ve been trying to learn watercolors kind of on my own with not much luck. I ordered this book and I am so glad I did.! I thumbed through it briefly, but it’s so detailed and goes over everything a beginner needs to know.I can’t wait to get a little bit of time to just lose myself in this book and try the projects. The projects look really nice too a little bit of everything .I really hope that she comes up with another book.. She has a fan for life!kelly m pearson

This is the perfect book for people who want to get started with watercolor painting. The author makes the instructions easy to understand, and the book includes pre-printed watercolor paper so you can sit down and start painting right away without having to trace anything. Even better, Lacey Walker has a lot of videos on YouTube where she has great energy and a fun personality. If you get stuck in the book, you can usually find a video on her channel to help you move forward as you grow as an artist. I love this book!k berg

I have been a big fan of Lacey through her YouTube videos. I really wish I would have had this book when I first started out because it teaches by DOING. That's the kind of learning I love. It gives you step-by-step ways of learning about the flow of paint, different techniques (with more than words!) and beginning to discover your own style. All of this without needing to also learn to draw, for those that didn't start out in that realm. All you have to do is learn and play. Such an amazing book! Recommended for everyone.mary sapp
