"The Orico 5 Bay Docking Station (6656C3) is a great product if you just use it for cloning or know beforehand that you won't have issues with JMS576 for disconnections in PC mode.Feature set is great, it has rubber pads that alleviate vibration noise from the drives, layout offers no problem with overheating and the provided cables are great, with the power unit being external with plenty of cable length to allow for easy installation and the USB-C cable with USB-A adaptor is a fantastic addition, allowing this dock to work on any setup basically.This would have been the best docking station ever if it was not for the chipset. It runs under JMS576 which dates back to 2016 (almost a decade old) and is known for disconnections as it doesn't support all new USB capabilities. I can't attest for the firmware version on it as I ran it on a Mac and there are no flashing tools available from JMicron or Orico, however, within a few hours of use I had several disconnects, while other docking stations I have with ASMedia chipset works just fine.Orico, if you read this, please, update the chipset or at least reach out to JMicron and figure a better firmware that won't disconnect. I would suggest switching chipsets but that is a much bigger ordeal.Alas, this product will be returned."

I like having five bays available at once—it makes cloning, testing, or accessing multiple drives far more convenient than constantly swapping disks. USB-C connectivity over USB 3.2 Gen 1 provides reliable performance, and transfer speeds have been consistent.The standalone cloning function works as advertised and is easy to use without needing a computer, which is great for drive duplication or upgrades. It’s also nice to see support for large-capacity drives, making this suitable for modern storage needs.Overall, this is a sturdy, well-designed multi-bay dock that’s clearly aimed at power users, IT work, or anyone who regularly handles multiple drives.
