"どうやら某コット◯ン水彩絵具を製造しているメーカー製らしく？、使い心地や色味はコット◯ンに似た感じ。とくにローズがはっきりした色にならないあたりはW&Nコットマンそっくりです。それでも、普段使いなら全然悪くない。Violetは商品画像の見た目通り青緑。コットマン水彩絵具のターコイズと同等。色見本画像に表示されている顔料『PV23』なら紫系のはずなので、明らかにおかしいです。まさか他セットを売るために入れ替えたのかと？そんな訳で、18色もあるわりに、いわゆる紫色が入っていません。まあウルトラマリンやローズが入っているので、混色で鮮やかな紫は作れますが。紫がないのがネックではあるものの、色組みはバランス良好。最初、蓋が180度開いてくれず焦りました。何度か開きグセをつけてやると平行に開いてくれるようになりました。説明画像のように、混色パレットとして使えなくもないですが。弾いて使いづらいので、絵具の下にあるくぼみを使うか別にパレット用意した方が無難かと。付属の水筆は毛が1本異様に長くはみ出ていました。はみ出しはちょん切りましたが、それでもまとまりがあまりよろしくない感じ。まあ使えなくはないです。水筆の使用感に不満があっても、サクラのミニ水筆がそのまま入るので安心。笑コットマン同等の18色セットを1000円前後で購入できるのはまあ普通にお買い得かと。あくまで学生向けランクなので、専門家向け絵具のようなクオリティな期待はしないほうが良いですけどね。【追記】出品者に問い合わせたところ、曰く430Violetは青緑で、仕様だそうです。しかし、vine勢がレビューに載せてる画像では紫なんですよねえ〜。ふっしぎだなあああー（棒読みあ、出品者さん商品画像の色味だけじゃなく顔料名も直した方がいいですよ？PV23は紫ですから。回答に疑問しかわかなかったので★下げました。"

I actually ordered this kit for myself because I have been wanting to give watercolors a try. I do not know enough to tell how well the quality of paints are but suspect for the less than $20 price tag for everything that these are not going to be top of the line artist grade paints. That’s fine with me as I don’t want to invest a ton of money on something I want to try out. I may not even like it. So, this watercolor set is perfect for someone that wants to try out this medium. It includes almost everything you need to get started except perhaps a clipboard or easel to put the included postcards on. This comes with paints, metal tin, swatch card, paintbrushes, postcard sized paper, masking pen, and even a travel bag to fit it all in. This is a great set not just for someone like me but also for someone that wants a portable set to take with them on trips. Great value.My Amazon rating system-Five stars-As described. Water is the only thing needed to add to the pack with this set in your backpack and some water color paper or block.
