"INCREASED MY BILL $220.78 ! ELECTRIC BILL SHOCK, This heater works great, BUT IT WILL GOOBLE UP ELECTRICITY. Note: Our regular heat and hot water are gas. The only change to our electric usage was this heater. I had it in our garage set on 60 degrees. Last February our bill was $147.60, this year (with only this heater added) our electric bill was $368.38 !Lasko told me this...The Model CT22495 runs at 900W at Low up to 1500W at Max/High. Lasko cannot provide an exact cost as this is heavily influenced by the rate per kilowatt your local electric company charges for peak and off-peak times.Below we have provided a formula, however, to get the closest actual cost, we recommend contacting your energy company to determine their exact rate per kilowatt charged.High: 1.5kilowatts x (rate per kilowatt) = Estimated cost per hourLow: .9kilowatts x (rate per kilowatt) = Estimated cost per hourUSE WITH CAUTION, my electric bill went up around FOUR TIMES the cost of the heater!"

I can't compare the Lasko Ceramic Heater to other brands as this is the only brand I've used. I bought this one recently when my previous one finally gave up the ghost. It heats the room safely as a ceramic heater should. I like that it has a remote control and that in addition to High, Medium and Low settings it also has a thermostat to set a specific temperature, which is what I use most of the time. It works, it's quiet, and although it wasn't a priority with me, it's a nice looking piece.sunny

Great little heater that works quickly. This heater oscillates. The temperature is programmable. It's very Quiet. Lightweight and easy to use with a remote control. Being a tall person I just wish this was a little bit taller but there is nothing wrong with this unit it's energy efficient it's quiet it's nice and I feel I got my money's worth for what I paid because if I were to buy one somewhere else it was really expensive. I think you will be happy with how this works and how quickly it heats up the room and certainly no noise that bothers my kitty cats. I recommend it to anybody that wants to heat up their place but not spend a fortune on a heating bill.enrique martinez
