"The first one of these I got was rubber and it lasted for maybe a year and broke, so I bought this and so far so good. Our dogs play hard so it needs to be durable. The rubber one is more convenient, but I'd rather not lose my Apple tag. One of our dogs got spooked and ran off a couple of years ago and after looking at the prices of the GPS models for both purchase and subscription, I decided the Apple tag would suit our purposes. I have several batteries ready to go."

This is perfect, we adopted a pup and he already came with a collar but wanted an AirTag to keep track. Already had the air tags and just needed to attach it. You can attach by key ring or right in the collar which is what we chose. Easy to do and they provide tools. Comfortable for the pup and as the option right in the collar it won’t catch on anything & it’s nice and secure. Good size, not too bulky on the collar.james grove

I've used two of these for my dogs and they have worked great. No problems with falling off or getting lost.I just replaced my original AirTags with the new AirTag 2, and the new ones also fit fine.I managed to misplace the wrench that came with the set, but for others in my situation the screws use a Torx star bit, size T6. Fortunately I had one of those in my precision screwdriver kit.christy

Dog isn’t bothered by it and the Airtag is securely inside the holder and the holder is securely on the collarUnfortunately I did lose the tool to release the AirTag and it’s time for a battery swap.
