"I would never use this as a primary display source, or for gaming. My Utility monitor burned out after 7 years, it was a top of the line model, but I figured I would go cheap since all I really do on it is Use tools bars or Utility Applications / Programs.I tested this Monitor as primary, just to see how well it would perform. I tried both HDMI and Display Port. after a few minutes it was clear this was far inferior to my much older but high end monitor.It has major illumination issues on the edges, or "light leaks" this is very noticeable on darker colors not so much on brighter ones. It sits fairly high and is not adjustable so depending on your desk / chair it might be to high for you. For me it actually worked out to be the right height so I got lucky there.I will use the product until it burns out, but if I had to do it again, I would just spend 300 bucks on something mid range, even as a side monitor that doesn't get much use, the light leaks are just annoying.Note the picture I have attached, this is not a reflection or a bad camera angle, this is what the monitor looks like all the time, in any light and any position.as far as gaming goes, it just did not keep up with my older monitor that by all means should underperform this one just based on the 100Hz, 1ms specs. My old monitor is 60Hz , 2ms, but the games ran much smoother on the old one.This is a product ASUS would have never put their name on 10 years ago."
