"This morning, I am filled with gratitude toward this company, their boot designer, and the world in general. I have 21" calves, high insteps, flat feet and cankles. Had 'em ever since I was a kid, no matter what I've weighed. Size 6 or size 18, it's always the same. It's just how I'm built. I have never... ever... been able to find rain boots to fit. Not the lace-up kind, not the zip-up kind, ESPECIALLY not the pull-on kind. Nothing. Certainly nothing waterproof. I just bring extra socks and try not to step in puddles. I opened the packaging very carefully, figuring I would have to return these half-boots, just as I've had to return all the other supposed "wide calf" rain boots I've ever bought.I pulled on the sock liners (sold separately) over my bare feet. Then I pulled on the boots... effortlessly. The clouds parted and the angels sang. FINALLY... someone who designed a rain boot for me, and other women like me.I could weep with joy. Seriously.I ordered my usual shoe size (8). The boots are quite roomy, but once I put socks on, then the liners, and then tucked in my jeans, all was comfortably snug and felt fine. Then they came off like it was nothing. I also love the rubber soles, as I feel more sure-footed in those than in boots with heels.Suggestion for the company: PLEASE make waterproofed, warm-lined SNOW boots now! And maybe some basic black and brown versions of these rain boots, for those times when I don't want my feet to look "whimsical" and still stay dry. Thank you so much. It's not hyperbole to say you've changed my life today.*************************************First follow-up: Wore a regular (thin) pair of socks, the half height liners, with jeans tucked into these for 6 hours on Saturday, never took them off once, walked all over in them in snow and slush and was fine. Feet were warm and dry, I felt like I had good traction and wouldn't fall. I was on my feet walking for at least four of those six hours. I could have had a pair of thicker socks and would've been fine. But these fit well enough that my feet didn't slide around. I kept saying to my husband, "Look! I'm wearing waterproof boots, like a normal person!" I still can't get over it. The only thing that would make these more perfect would be if they came in plain espresso brown and/or black. I would buy six pairs each and be set for life.*************************************Second follow-up: My husband insisted I buy more of these boots because I'm so ecstatic about finally having waterproof boots I can wear and walk in. We can finally take walks together as the snow is falling and I won't get soaked feet and frostbite. So I bought two pair of the leaf-vine pattern. BE AWARE that these are a fun, bright teal color, and not the more subdued slate blue as pictured, that I was hoping they were. Teal is my favorite color, so I'll keep them, but I was hoping for something a little more plain that didn't call so much attention to itself, and that can be worn with dressier clothes. Perhaps with enough requests, Jileon will produce their low and high boots in plain dark colors like espresso, black or navy. We wide-calf ladies do not have any waterproof, high-traction, pull-on snow boots that fit, please take pity on us, Jileon, so we can wear our nice coats with plain dark boots. Also of note: I bought some orthotic inserts I like on here (Powerstep Original Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles), which work every bit as well as my custom-made orthotics from the podiatrist at a small fraction of the cost. These insoles fit PERFECTLY into the bottom of these boots. Just snugged right in there. So with socks, the boot liners I bought, and jeans tucked in, I'm anticipating a lovely winter of warm, dry feet that don't hurt even after wearing these to go shopping in all day long. Finally (and thank you, dear reader, for bearing with me for this long): I have finally found lovely warm stretchy socks for wide-calf ladies. Including knee socks! They don't bind or pinch my 21" calves, in fact they feel kind of good to wear all day. Search for Sock It To Me Stretch-It socks. There are knee-high and shorter socks in cute patterns (still nothing plain and dressy, ugh). They are amazing underneath these Jileon boots. I feel like the footgear world finally realized there are lots of people like us who have money to spend on quality items that FIT."

Firstly, I have problem feet, ankles (and calves in this case).I had 7 foot surgeries to correct issues on one foot, so I a, careful what I wear. This also means that due to hardware now, my instep is higher.I’ve not had rain boots but a couple of times over many years, because I have wide feet, hence having to buy bigger size than needed, and because I also have wider calves, shorter legs tend to have issues with boots sometimes: was so as a child too.But these wide width are perfect!Lest not forget now, they’re rain boots, there’s no arch support.But. I need arch support so I put in a pair of inserts, et voilà! Done deal my feet don’t hurt.I can put these boots on and off without using my hands, that’s a plus when tending to my garden, taking my dog out, or just walking on the wet grass or in dirt.Granted I had to buy a bit of a bigger size cause I expected this. But this means I can put socks on, and I’ll still fit. They are so cute. My favorite color too, and butterflies!I’ve gotten a lot of use out of these since I bought them, I may get another pair as a backup, as I don’t know I’ll find again later on if/when these wear out. Cause I’m gonna wear them out.Having a pair of rain boots in the Pacific Northwest is a must. I’ve ruined many shoes because I didn’t have any, or gotten my feet wet. No more. They fit great, my toes don’t feel crammed in, my heel don’t slip, and I don’t feel like I want to take them off after two minutes. They also feel breathable for whatever reason, my feet aren’t sweating in them, and I’ve worn for a few consequent hours.Buy them! You’ll love them. Worth every penny!Update, 2 years or so later: still love these boots. They wore out a bit but still worked well, and I use them daily in fall/winter to go out with my dogs (in summer I use them less as it’s not as mud and wet outside). The inside liner started peeling off a bit, and one of them has a crack on one side, so I just bought me a new pair in red! Most rain boots wouldn’t last 3 winters.👍🏼

I was so happy to finally find a boot that fit my thick calves. I ordered a size 11 simply because that's usually what I have to do when ordering women's shoes just to get a decent fit, when it seems I could've ordered a 10 or 10 1/2, but then my big toe might hit the end so the 11 is fine. I tried on the boots wareing just my regular socks, but still the fit was a bit snug as I put my foot in making my toes strangle in my socks. Maybe I just have thick feet, but the boots were advertised as roomy. I suppose it'll help if I loose some weight. Boots were also advertised as having padded insole... not really. I had to put in a Dr Scholes gel insert to help with that. Luckily for me these won't ever be all day ware, but they will serve me well for my yard work and out spraying weeds around the ranch. I'm tired of getting spray and mud on my good tennys, so these boots will work much better and I can just hose them off and leave them at the door. After a little bit of time and warning these boots, if they really work out well I might be tempted to buy another pair. Despite my fat feet, they are roomy in the calves making them easy on and off and more comfortable to ware than other boots I've tried.

First off, I would repurchase these. In fact, I have bought three pairs now. I started with my regular size 10. They felt giant. I over corrected and sized down to an 8, which were a better fit than the 10s, but wearing winter socks would have been pushing it. Final attempt on the 9 and I found a perfect fit. I would compare the sizing to Torrid shoes, but maybe even wider. If you can size down there, I’d say it’s safe to size down here as well. These hit below the widest part of my calf (21” at widest) and I have a little extra room. I feel confident I could tuck pants in without trouble. The quality is great. The teal insides are vibrant and soft. The rubbery patent outside is study enough to feel substantial but flexible enough that I think it will be comfortable walking around in. The footbed is wide enough with a little extra room still for my standard wide feet. They feel like I could put an insole in them if I needed to but they feel comfortable enough that I don’t think I will to start. The buckle does look adjustable but I haven’t messed around with it.These would be 10/10 if it weren’t for the terrible smell. They are so pungent you can smell them through a layer of plastic and the cardboard box. The return pairs have been sitting by my front door for 5 days and they still are off gassing. I bought these for a trip, and I WILL NOT be putting them in my suit case. I am honestly slightly afraid they will make my car stink on long car ride. The smell has gotten better over a few days, but it is still pungent.Overall, very happy with these! Finger crossed the smell goes away! Thanks for making size inclusive products!

It is very difficult for me to find boots that fit my wide calf. I originally ordered them in a 8 which is a whole size bigger than my original size.. But, I thought putting them with a thicker sock would be ok for the foot sock before I got them. When I did get them and tried it on I could have wrapped my foot in probably 3 thicker socks before it could fit correctly. I ordered my regular size which is 7. I tried it on and it fit ok but the shoe itself was still a little big. I could probably go down another size but this size will be ok.I wore them and the everything about them is great! The way that they slide on in the calf is awesome and they are cute.

These boots are super cute, and arrived just in time for days of traveling and lots of roadside stops and muddy puddles and rocky gravel trails. They had nice flexibility in the body and were great when I was standing, walking, or on my feet for hour of driving too. The soles were super durable for me, and the soles have good rigidity and thickness so you're not feeling rocks under foot. I was worried the material might be thin and prone to getting cut up, but they survived my rocky, muddy adventures through a range of vegetation well. My only complaint is I just wish there was an option meant for more substantial wear, than these meant for light to medium wear. I also really would have loved far better arch support. But I was also really abusing the shoes beyond their normal intended use and came away absolutely thrilled with these.Room through the toe box is a little on the loose size, bu if you wear these in the winter for most people it'll allow you to wear some really think insulating winter boot socks with it.They'll be great for working in the garden, or short jaunts through a field. I wouldn't use these if I was planning to be on my feet for hours at a time, or working outside in them for hours either doing hard labor. I've been trying wide calf rainboot options for over 20 years with no success until I tried these. Size dimensions were accurate to what's in the product description. I think I might treat myself this holiday season with a second pair, I love these so much. I'll just choose a different design.
