"~~~”But there is something unshakable here. In our bonding. In spite of every last thing the world has thrown at us all. The story is not yet over, III promised, and the idea lights in my heart that maybe this moment is an important part of that story—to love, against all the odds. Maybe that’s the important part of everyone’s story right now.” ~~~Well, my friends, the conclusion that I have waited years for has come to pass and I can honestly say that it was worth the wait. This incredibly imaginative series with its amazing characters, unbelievably detailed world-building, and all-inclusive life & love-affirming messages is my favorite series ever and I will never not recommend it to all who will listen!Seriously, this series should be taught in every high school in every nation. The world would be so much better off learning the lessons this series teaches. I, as a homeschooling parent, made sure my daughter read this series and, in so doing, feel I have raised an accepting and loving child. A child not influenced by preconceived ideas but who can judge independently and come to her own conclusions. The Dryad Storm is told in eight parts with a multitude of different POV’s. This masterpiece sees Elloren and her allies (some hesitant and some downright hostile) through The Battle for Erthia and its aftermath. That’s the simplest, least spoilery way I can describe it.Along the way, you will feel every emotion known to man including despair, disgust, fear, horror, frustration, elation, and YASS!!There’s All The Feels along with a great amount of romance between many different types of couples and, dare I say, a quadrouple?! LOL! No, it’s not reverse harem..all is nicely resolved but I would classify this book NA. It’s certainly more risqué than the beginning books’ YA designation. But I feel like it follows the natural progression of the relationships built in the series and all is tastefully written. All comes full circle, especially Elloren’s character growth from naive girl to full warrior woman, and all loose ends tied up giving the reader that big sigh of relief and feeling of satisfied completion. But your also left with Laurie’s overriding messages to love all peoples of all faiths, colors, and beliefs. To harness your ability to be empathetic and sympathetic to your fellow man and, most importantly of all, to our beleaguered and embattled earth. For the audiobook listeners, Julia Whelan once again gives a phenomenal mind-blowing performance!! The three narrators of this series all give extraordinary narrations that bring this most compelling series to poignant life! So, whether you’re a reader, listener, or both, do not miss this most important of epic fantasy series!!"

This author should win a peace price. I’ve never read such a politically charged, fantasy, love & hate filled book that shines around the love of Earth(ia) and the love of connection; PEACE!! Stunning characters, plot, realms, Tree’s & animals. This author should be giving peace talks to nations. Everything is so spot on. The religious zeal is so fitting with our world of today. This book conquers the underlying themes of our discord and breaks it wide open to the heart of the dangers of zealots of any kind that seeks to sew division. These books must be read by SIMPLY everyone and used at school to teach with. Harmony & Balance for the win.Enjoy!!!

It was wonderful to read of various tribes putting aside their differences. Differences that previously divided them. In nature, they found love and unity. That love brought them together to conquer darkness.

The Black Witch Chronicles comes to an explosively powerful end. This book is full of emotion and will have you in tears at times. As Eloreen and Yvan fight against the odds set against them, there is hope for the better. If you haven’t read these book, I highly recommend them. Laurie Forest paints a beautiful, but tragic at times, picture as you read. You can’t help falling in love with these characters and their journey.

A fantastic ending to a beautiful story of love and humility. Seeing the world through someone else’s eyes and the power of forgiveness. This is one series that I think every 16-18 year old should read. A story of hope for a better world that’s not filled with so much hate

Laurie Forest created a world that spanned four main books, multiple continents, languages, magic systems, cultures, and peoples. To say that concluding each storyline and subplot was a major undertaking is a vast understatement, and yet, that is exactly what she's done. If you've read all four books, then you love these characters. You know their struggle and how they've come to be. In The Dryad Storm, Forest takes her time, walking us through each epic conclusion of each epic character just as they deserve. It's breathtaking. It's heart-rendering and ultimately deeply reaffirming of the potential that humankind has for good when we choose it. I cannot imagine a better ending to this story. Bravo!
