Although the Phosphatidylserine is only 60mg while many others are typically 100mg. I still really like this product. When I contacted them, the other aprox. 4/5ths of this is made up of other phospholipids which are also part of the brain.As long as people understand that all the great research on Phosphatidylserine in the 80s and 90s was extracted from cow brains. Which had a fatty acid chain made up of DHA. Thanx to mad cow disease, almost all Phosphatidylserine these days is from soy or sunflowers and has some other fatty acid instead of DHA that is not used in the brain, and research on those extracts shows minimal if any real benefit as is.But, in theory, it is not likely that our bodies absorb the phospholipids whole and cleave off the fatty acid chain. So taking them with fish oil high in DHA and EPA may allow the body to recombine into the forms we actually want them to be. But no research has been done on that aspect. This is one of my can't-live-without supplements. Combined with morning coffee, gets me clear headed, creative, and motivated first thing after waking. I chopped 10 minutes off my usual finishing time for the daily NYT crossword puzzle with this stuff. It did take about 60 days until I noticed the enhancing effects on my memory and mood, but that's why the price per unit from this respected brand is so ideal. Very happy. Unless formula gets changed I am a customer for life. No side effects. Just upside all around.cjones
