"It is hard to find Rhodiola in great quantities, specially in powder extract and with salidrosides. This composition ticks all the boxes when it comes to specifications, and it seems as it is very well processed too.However, the plant root extract, despite having great color and aroma, just doesn't taste quite as it should. It is a little less spicy, and the flavor overall is less potent.But since this is sought after as an adaptogen then what is important is the result. And the result I usually get from Rhodiola is a feeling of balanced well being without feeling high (as with caffeine) or somnolent (as with Aswagandha), so in theory is the perfect adaptogen for day use, specially in continuous stress times and even more so when the cortisol levels of own body are very high.But this one just doesn't quite deliver on the expected result either. There is some effect but not quite what I was used to. I presume this particular Rhodiola extract is not cultivated in Europe or Asia and then imported as others, but rather it is home grown in the US or Canada, but another reviewer/asker says he/she called BulkSupplements directly and they said that this, in fact, is grown in China.The other problems with this are packaging related, as with other products of the brand:Firstly, the package is strong, durable, is metal/plastic to keep the contents in good state, however the closing plastic inner strips are so slim that a little of the powder can get in the middle and prevent any form of physical closure; After dusting (product powder) it out with a piece of paper, it kind of closes but not very firmly so it cannot be stored horizontally anymore.Secondly, the package does not include any measure (plastic spoon) so you have to have one handy. (Maybe this is expected as the brand is for "Bulk" packaging and they say you have to have your own measuring spoon.)And thirdly, the package is missing the graphics or photograph of the actual plant the extract is made of, as it was expected since the ones on the product page do have them. That sounds as minor but when you have several packages of several things, it always helps having the picture of what you're getting without having to read the rear description.Nevertheless, I always put the quantity I need for some weeks intake in some other small plastic recipients so I don't have to open continuously the original packaging."
