"I’ve been a loyal Reolink customer for years and own several of their products — all of which have performed exceptionally well. That’s why I had high expectations when I purchased the REOLINK Video Doorbell WiFi Camera. While the video quality is excellent and the overall build feels premium, the two-way audio has been a letdown.Let’s start with the positives: the 2K resolution is crisp and clear, even in low light. The motion detection is responsive, and the app interface is intuitive. I also appreciate the dual-band WiFi support — I have a very strong connection to the doorbell, and it never drops offline. From a visual and connectivity standpoint, this doorbell delivers.However, the two-way audio is where things fall short. There’s a noticeable delay — sometimes several seconds — which makes real-time communication frustrating. Whether I’m trying to speak to a delivery driver or respond to a visitor, the lag creates confusion and makes the feature almost unusable. For a product in this price range, and from a brand like Reolink, I expected smoother performance.I’ve double-checked my network setup, ensured the firmware is up to date, and even tested it at different times of day. The issue persists, and it’s disappointing considering how well my other Reolink devices work. It’s clear that the audio functionality needs refinement — whether it’s better compression, faster relay, or improved hardware support.Bottom line: this doorbell camera is great for video monitoring, but if two-way communication is a priority for you, be aware of its limitations.
