I purchased this starter for my 2000 Honda accord. After having issues with starting on my car I looked into replacing the starter and came across this one. Let me tell you this fixed my car right up!Instalation was very easy and I was able to get it done in about an hour, not a lot of a tools needed and it wasn't complicated. Anybody can do this job even with no experience. The part looks very good and sounds amazing when starting. Everything looks built right and it feels durable. I have been using it for about 4 months and the lifespan so far has been good.I recommend this to anybody having issues with their car not starting. This fit into my 2003 Honda Odyssey perfectly. Last week after starting just fine, the van suddenly wouldn't start and made quick buzzing noises before losing all power when I would try. I researched and changed out the ignition coils, ignition switch, and IG fuse but the problem persisted so yesterday I changed out the OEM starter to this one. Van starts and runs again!Changing out the starter is a job anyone can do, given you have the right tools. This was the first time I've changed out a starter, but it was doable because I researched videos online of other folks showing how to do it. No special tools, but some I used were 17mm, 12mm, 10mm, and 8mm deep sockets, as well as a ratcheting 12mm wrench to get to a bolt under the driver's side wheel area and extension rods to reach the starter bolts easier - watch videos so you can refer to the exact tools you will need though. Some important things to note:- This does NOT include a nut (12mm) for the battery cable connection so KEEP your old one from the OEM starter in order to use for this new starter- This includes a bracket to hold certain cables but it WON'T work for 2003 Honda Odysseys because it is missing a section that is included on the EOM starter's bracket. So once again, KEEP the old one so you can install onto this new starterI'll update here if this new starter fails or if it keeps running strong.10/5: Still going strong with no issues starting since I changed it out.
