"This piece of junk CORRUPTED 3 DRIVES.If the connected computer is shutdown, this thing will corrupt your drives.YOu will start seeing Disk Inaccessible or Worse Disk Damaged. This thing is incredibly unstable and shouldn't be in the market.The first one I was able to fix with chkdsk.Then this thing just completely corrupted and damaged 2 other drives. Completely showing now as Damaged Drives in my Disk Recovery tool..I am very angry that Amazon is selling this thing. I've just lost Terrabytes of Data on a piece of junk that was supposed to allow me copy my data onto another drive.How can Amazon be selling this.---------------- UPDATED WITH HOW TO RECOVER SOME OF YOUR FILES: --------------------------For many who have fallen victim to this piece of junk, I've found a way to at least get some of your files back. It is tedious and I spent 14hours to get back about 75% of my files.Firstly your disk is toasted, but the data is still somewhat inside it. By running chkdsk and then using DiskGenius (Free Edition) you can at least copy some of the data onto A NEW DRIVE and save your sanity.Step 1: Get DiskGenius (Free Edition) and a New Disk Drive to Save your recovered files to.Step 2 (Optional): If you have a 3rd disk available you can clone this bad disk so you can still repeat attempting to save your dataStep 3: Open cmd (Administrator) and then run chkdsk (It is going to be an overnight thing). After chkdsk the disk will still say error (I said the disk is toast) but it's ok that is where DiskGenius comes inStep 4: Open DiskGenius, you will see your bad disk listed, click on it and click [Files] in the Right Tab window.Step 5: You will see a hidden folder named "Found.000". It will have dozens of folders. Just patiently browse them and you will see that some folders contain your files.Step 6: Right Click the folder that you want and click "Copy to (S)". Pick a folder in your NEW DRIVE and save. (UNDER NO CIRCUSTANCES SHOULD YOU TRY TO WRITE TO THIS CORRUPTED DRIVE AS YOU COULD WIPE AWAY YOUR DATA.
