"I really, really loved this product for the first few months I used it. I work from home 3 days a week and used this to work from for most of those 3 days for maybe 3 months, until the leg broke at the top as I was folding it up. Nothing was blocking the folding mechanism, I just went to fold the legs and suddenly there was a crack and the piece where the leg meets the board came undone. I’ve tried fixing it every way I know how - individually taking the screws out and trying to carefully screw everything back into place, super glue, wood glue, nothing has worked. The desk surface is just cheap particle board, and I think whenever it cracked, it became irreparable due to the damage to the particle board.I really loved this lap desk. It was a great size and folded up neatly to store behind my couch. But it didn’t last even a few months of semi-regular use. I can still technically use it if I am very careful, but it doesn’t fold up now, and that defeats the entire purpose. Really disappointed, especially for the money this thing cost. I could have gotten a non-folding lap desk made out of real wood that would have lasted me much longer and been the same functionality as this, now that the legs won’t fold."
