"I bought this OC200 so I can manage the router remotely/on the phone. I previously purchased a ER707-M2 which has been working fine for over a week.I immediately noticed after setting up the controller that in the controller interface connected and active DHCP clients are not showing up. I spent about 5 hours debugging, different setups, switches, etc.I normally have around 18-25 active clients but that night there was only 8. In the ER707-M2 when standalone all clients show up fine. But once this controller is in place and actively managing the router they do not.The next morning several clients were completely offline and could not reconnect to the network.. I reset everything again and tried again. Same issues.I contact tplink support and spend about 3 hours with them with no resolution. They asked me to use Wireshark to capture the network traffic on the switch. At this point it's a hard pass.I'm just not interested in helping them debug the issue because after some additional research I found that this is actually a common problem with Omada since about 2021.The hardware is very nice but they have some software issues that they have not resolved for many years."

I didn't realize that my network had been configured incorrectly for the last five years. I was upgrading my Wireless Access Points (WAP) throughout my house and found out through research that they were all acting as individual networks. With this I was able to create a Roaming network so they were all as one and just handed off to the closest access point.dj

I'm new to the TP Link Omada products but for all around ease of use controlling a number of Omada products and allowing control away from home, this Controller is indispensable. It finds Omada devices quickly, allowing you to control multiple devices with one app. It was also easy to install but does take a few minutes to boot itself up. Well worth the investmentWhat Customers Talk About
