"I use mine to help me sleep, so comfort was important to me. Before I understood how to wear these, I thought they were uncomfortable, but when I read they are designed to be worn with the cord going up and around the ear, worn properly, they are more comfortable than any earbuds I have ever worn while sleeping, plus, this over-the-ear design ensures a snug fit that enables experiencing the incredible deep bass these earphones allow you to hear. Be sure to make use of the Android/iOS switch so the unit works correctly with your phone or tablet.I purchased mine in November of 2018, and have used them every night since then. Previously, the longest any earbuds have lasted has been three months, with many cheaper "unbreakable" sets lasting less than one month. I am apparently very hard on my earbuds while I sleep. Today, May 1st, 2019, I thought I had finally broken them when the right channel stopped producing sound. However, I was able to troubleshoot them because the earphones can be detached from the cable, and I discovered it was the right earphone that was not producing sound, and not a cable problem. I followed the maintenance instructions, taking them apart and cleaning them, and suddenly, these earphones work as flawlessly as they did when they were new. Of all the "unbreakable" sets I have purchased in the past, this is the first set that has proven to withstand the abuse I give them, and SHURE doesn't even advertise that aspect of these high-quality earphones. It disturbs me to read so many negative comments about these excellent earphones. I suspect the people complaining did not read the instructions to understand how to use them, because I had similar misgivings about these earphones when I first received them until I read the directions. $99 is a lot to spend if you are used to buying cheap $10 earphones, but used properly, they are so superior to any I have ever tried (including several "unbreakable" $60 earphones) that if these do ever finally break, I'll be replacing them with the same thing."

Before purchasing this pair of earphones in 2019, I had doubts about the product as audiophile communities and reviews say it is not worth the price anymore. Just as written on the product description, these earphones are little bassy. Since it is not overwhelming, it can be managed through equalizer. It slightly lacks the ability to produce high treble, as it starts to hiss if you try to increase treble/high frequency region. It's mid is very good as well as vocals with bit of help from equalizer. However, you may feel sound stage is small as many previous reviews have mentioned. Sound isolation is far superior to many other earphones I have tried. It is almost as good as noise cancelling earphones.Comfort was little bit of a disappointment. Many reviews have praised its comfort, but I find my ears getting sore after 3-4 hours of usage. The loop that goes around the ear causes the soreness. If it is tight, it holds the earpiece well but your ear will be come sore. If it is loose, ear will not get sore but earpiece will not be stable. Some reviews mentioned glasses will get in your way, but I find that is not a problem.Overall, It is a decent pair of earphones. Sound quality could be better but I am satisfied with it, comparing to bose and beoplay products. I wish the cable was ted bit longer, as well as L-shaped plug instead of straight plug. The one without in-line microphone and control has L-shaped plug.

I managed to receive these just a couple of days ago. I was looking for a reliable set of corded earbuds that could be used for a number of years after my old earbuds kept having their 3mm jack messed up. I tend to use earbuds a lot so it's not reliable if I can find a good place to charge them. The warranty, the style, and the quality of Shure led me to them.So far I have to say I'm overall pleased. I have very small ears so the most problematic part is having the earplugs securely fit in them while I'm working out. They have not fallen out thus far, but I do have to adjust them every once in a while, especially while running. However, the quality is the best I've ever had. There are three sets of plugs for small ears, medium ears, and large ears, and a number of backup ear sleeves in case the originals get worn out. There are also some replacement speakers for the earbuds, however those are just single sets of large, medium, and small. There are no formal earclips, but the wire near the buds is very thick and can be molded to fit any ear shape or size. It's a bit annoying to deal with at first since they do not seem to enter like normal earbuds, but I think it's just a habit I've built up.The cable is reasonably long, but it would be nice if it was a bit longer. It is quite bulky so it does not feel flimsy whatsoever. the microphone is extremely good and can pick up my voice extremely easily. The best part is the sound quality. Once the earbuds are securely in, the noise-cancelling technology works extremely well. It is difficult to hear any outside noise and you can get lost in your music or podcasts. This alone makes the purchase worth it. They also come in a number of colors that look reasonably stylish. You can barely notice the earclip wire against your head.Overall, I'm pleased with them so far, and with the reasonably priced 3-year warranty, I expect to be using them for a while to come.

Edit (May 2019): I received my new pair and they've held up great. This edit though is to fix what I've said below about the left ear bud on the old pair dying. I didn't throw them away and instead dropped them in a box of wires because I'm a hoarder. The left earbud on the new pair started going out and I thought there may be a serious QA problem; however, it turns out that ear wax is simply able to escape through the holes of the earbuds and into the shaft where the pad connects. I had to remove the pads and dig out the earwax that was stuck in there and we were back in action; I repeated this on my old pair that I thought were dead and it was the exact same issue. Pretty gross and I must have a broken earwax spout in my left ear, but both pairs are still kicking. =) At least I have a backup.Edit: I bought these July 2018. It is now early February 2019 and the left ear bud has been dying for months.. thought I was going deaf in that ear but it officially is dead. Ordered a new pair (because I loved them) and am going to see if I'm still under warrenty for these now dead ones (in hopes of a backup pair) since there is 0 cable damage.Good headphones for the price! I was torn between these and the Shure 535 (wireless&wired option @ $499) as I needed a new IEM for traveling. I truly wanted the improved quality of the 535's, but couldn't justify the terrible wireless connectivity/battery life and fear of leaving them somewhere when I travel for the price--so I opted for this entry-level version--and I don't regret it at all!Sound quality is decent. I'd say they're about even with the Sennheiser Momentum/HD1 in-ears, with less bass and different mid/high-ends, but they're 100x more comfortable in terms of sitting in the ear (plus, the wrap-around style keeps them from falling out of the ear when getting caught or yanked by things). I am a Sennheiser fanboy but they simply don't have a competitive option in this space anymore. These 215's aren't nearly as tedious to sit in the ear as I had thought they would be. Sound isolation is unreal for a IEM out-of-the-box that doesn't have any type of noise cancelling and I find myself having to slide one ear out when roaming around towns or crossing streets.I've traveled with them twice now (1 week trips using them daily) and use them at the gym 3-4 times a week. They're worth the money.I'm definitely glad I picked these up instead of investing in a higher-priced alternative.. now I can wait for the wireless game to catch up a bit in the next year or two.I'll try to remember to update this post in time to confirm whether or not they've held up.

These are amazing earbuds they sounds just as good if not better than my original Bose IE earbuds that I've had for years and for a great price too. If you add the Comply Isolation Plus TX-100 Memory Foam tips to go with them they are absolutely amazing combined. The sound quality and depth are fantastic no matter what genre you are listening too. I bought these Shures and then the memory foam tips for dentist appointments because I absolutely hate the sound of a high speed drill and this combo doesn't disappoint. I can now jam out to my music the entire time I'm getting dental work done without having to hear that cringing drill noise. Now the only downside is that the earbuds can be a little bit of a pain to get in an out quickly to hear someone talk or something, but once they are in they are staying they aren't going to fall out on you randomly no matter what task you are taking on..... I'd 1000% recommend these to anyone an I absolutely have recommended them multiple times to friends and co-workers because of their amazing sounds and price to get that sound quality. If you've never had a set of quality earbuds that costs more than $50, then you will be blown away when you put these buds in and wonder why you didn't buy them years ago! Also I can't recommend enough to get you the Comply Isolation TX-100 Memory Foam Tips to pair with the earbuds. Those earbud tips absolutely cancel out the majority of background sounds which is both a good and bad thing depending on where you are wearing them and how high your volume is. I usually don't give reviews or ratings but this product actually deserves it. This is an easy 5/5 stars 🌟 an I have never gave anything that rating in a review before.

I purchased these as a gift for my partner because he needed something that would be durable, sound isolating, and provide quality sound. I am not a music or sound engineering expert, but I do know a thing or two about what quality sounds and feels like, and the importance of that quality in sound devices. I have my own IEMs from Shure, the 425, so I knew that buying him these would be a fantastic choice compared to other popular brands that are a waste of money every. single. time.PROSSound quality and bass is amazing!Music and other sounds come through clearly, and you can get an isolating effect without the volume high.Comfortable, easy to wear. The color is an added bonus! I'm kind of jealous mine are just clear, but the blue in these is so nice. The mic is also easy to use to switch between calls and music. It's a SHURE product. C'mon. You can't go wrong! It's an amazing price for what you get.CONSI don't think there are any, unless you expect musician-level performance or a more specific need that requires a different model.
