In my opinion Streamlight makes the best flashlights. I know there are other good brands out there, but I’ve used this brand exclusively for at least the past 10 years and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve been a mechanic for 30 years now and the MicroStream is my main go to flashlight. I own a Stringer and Strion but the MicroStream is what I use 90% of the time. I love how small it is so it fits in my pocket easy and even though it’s not the brightest, it’s more than enough for what I do. Trust me when I say brighter is not always better. If my MicroStream isn’t quite cutting it, then I can use one of my bigger models. I have owned many of these because I’ve been using them for years. I always have at least two with me at work and one at home. I’ve also bought many of these for friends and family. It has two settings, 50 and 250 lm. When you first turn the flashlight on, it, turns on in the low setting in all colors but Coyote. The Coyote is the only color that turns on in the high setting. So that is the only model I buy because that’s what I prefer. I am pretty hard on these flashlights and they are extremely rigid and tough. Overall StreamLights are just hard to beat, you can put them through hell and they will keep going. I own other models of their flashlights along with headlamps. Great product overall. It's very compact (about 2/3 to 3/4 the length of a normal pen), sturdy, light but not too light, and very bright. My only criticism is that the button to turn it on can be difficult to fully press down because of its position on the end of the light and the rubber cover over it. I use it when walking my dog and for small stuff around the house, and it's perfect.david eichhorn
