"I’ve purchased about 8 of these shirts but the last 2 didn’t have the pockets. Not cool to save $ by eliminating the pockets. Pretty sad. The shirts are a good value, fit and quality otherwise."

Great traditional grown man button down cotton shirt. It’s a fits as you’d expect. It’s a regular fit as opposed to slim fit. You can care for this shirt in a regular washer and dryer. Very wearable. Gives off an “old money” esthetic.

I am 82 years old, 5"11", 212 lbs. Until retirement, I was an office worker, wore a suit or jacket and tie to work, 9-5, 5 days a week. I generally bought Brooks Brothers (or equivalent quality) lowest tier 100% cotton oxford cloth shirts, generally on sale around $200 for 4 shirts. I liked the feel of the pebbly, relatively heavy cloth, and still do. I never bought clothing that was treated for stain resistance or wrinkle resistance. I never bought clothing with stretch fabrics. Although I preferred fountain pens, I frequently needed ball point pens or gel pens. which I carried in my shirt pocket. For many years I sent my shirts out for professional laundering and pressing. As I grew older, and did my own laundering, I occasionally left a pen in the shirt pocket, with predictable results. After a while, I pressed them myself before work. In general, I rotated the shirts, wore them 1 or 2 days before laundering, and they generally lasted 5 or more years. If you catch my drift ;-} It has become nearly impossible to find 100% cotton oxford non-stretch fabric shirts, un-treated for wrinkle resistance or stain resistance, and proportioned to fit a non-athletic, non-slender golden ager who no longer sits at a desk every day all day long subject to the inspecting eyes of his colleagues. I just bought one of these shirts, and was absolutely -- perfectly -- amazed. They met all of my above-listed persnickety requirements. They feel great and seem well-made -- and the price -- oh, the price! The shirt I received was properly packaged and as far as I can tell, had not been previously worn or abused. It was also certified OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.
