"I am not sure where the plastic parts are made but those people need to learn about tolerances. I spent the better part of an hour scrapping the sides of the three piece Mercury Capsule so they would ALL fit into the groove that is molded into the base. The escape tower is even worse. Pieces have to bend to fit and gluing those together required gluing one and holding it by hand until it dried then the same on the second piece. I am waiting on the second piece to dry before I even try to fit the third part of the tower. I have no idea who makes these parts for Estes but I suspect it is all Chinese because of the poorly written instructions and the fact that the pieces do not fit without hand cutting and trimming. Last item I will buy from Estes that has plastic parts in it. You guys need to hire some incoming QC people and start rejecting a lot of this stuff. And why not make the capsule out of one piece? Why force your customers to whittle on three pieces to make them fit in a circular slot that is too small? This is the sorriest design I have seen come out of Estes. This would have been easy if you had good molds and eliminated so many silly little pieces that barely fit together."
