"At first I loved it. Everything about this pan is quality. The triple riveted handle with silicone stay-cool grip. The extra-heavy aluminum cooking vessel. The amazing non-stick ceramic finish. It reminds me of my stainless All-Clad pans, only in non-stick. It has become my new go-to frying favorite. Worth every penny.Update: after 4 years of use, the non-stick properties are pretty much non-existent. I have always used non-metal utensils, but the pan now sticks. too bad as I really liked it. downgrading to 3 stars.Update: after 5 years it looks like a chipped up piece of junk. note I have ALWAYS used plastic/silicon utensils, NEVER once used metal utensils, always hand-washed. Throwing it away and will spend the money for an ALL-CLAD. Sigh, It was beautiful while it lasted, but 5 years is way to short a time to call this a good buy. good-bye Vollrath."

Vollrath is my favorite brand for non-stick cookware. Amazon tells me I’ve purchased it twice before. I believe that this is actually my fourth pan in this size (10-inch). Sturdy construction, no gimmicks, no celebrity endorsements, and it really performs well on the stove (no hot spots, good browning on food, doesn’t warp). Excellent non-stick properties for scrambled eggs or whatever else. I even use metal tools like a fish spatula or a large tablespoon if I don’t have my wooden spatula at hand. As long as you’re even a little careful it should be fine.Getting back to the fact that this is my fourth 10” pan, one must accept the fact that these things do have a shelf life. You won’t be bequeathing this to your grandchildren. Stick with (pun not intended?) carbon steel if you’re trying to create an heirloom. With typical usage in a home setting this pan lasts probably 4-5 years.I’m writing this in 2023 and the last one I purchased was in 2018. We cook daily: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Candidly, this pan could have been replaced a year ago. It’s still a great pan, just lost its non-stick properties. That said, the scrambled eggs wash out easily with a short soak and a bit of elbow grease.And, keep in mind I won’t be discarding the older pan. I’m taking it to the kitchen at my work… where it, old and used and replaced, will still outperform the other poor, warped excuses for skillets (except for my old 14” replaced Vollrath which I donated right before the pandemic - HA!). I have been using the Vollrath Wear-Ever pans for years. These pans are sold with a brown exterior color instead of the aluminum at the "Home and Garden" shows where they do the live demos. Well we bought a set 15 years ago and have had great usage out of them. As they have eventually worn out, I began searching for replacements.And I found them, this is the same pan but half the price. They offer multiple sizes; but this 10" is great for cooking box meals like hamburger helper, or making a quick sit down meal for 3 or 4, pan frying some steaks, and just about anything else you can think of.These pans are the best non-stick pans I have ever used. You can burn stuff, you can melt stuff, you can scratch them...and they just keep right on cooking without losing their non-stick ability. They are heavy and well made. I wasn’t entirely sure what I’d get when I ordered this pan, but it has impressed me from day one. It’s genuinely versatile: The first day I used it to make eggs in the morning, pork dumplings at lunch, and sautéed chicken breasts for dinner — it handled all of it beautifully. It conducts heat so efficiently that I actually had to dial back my gas stove to keep it from running hot. That’s not a flaw; it’s proof of how evenly and quickly it heats and holds temperature.Cleanup is effortless, and for a non-stick pan, it feels solid enough to last a good while. I saw one reviewer complain that their non-stick didn’t survive a decade. I bought 2 of these skillets, an 8 and a 10. I got them after Fedex took a week to get them to me, because their drivers can't read a map. Anyway, these are great skillets. To say they are non-stick is an understatement. Everything slides around in them. They are slick enough I can flip eggs in them. They are a breeze to clean up, and they are thick enough so they have even heat. No hot spots toward the center. Overall, I can't say enough good about them. I own a few Vollrath pans now and their wear-ever line is excellent. The non-stick is great. The heating is even. Very easy to clean. For a pan made in America it is very reasonably priced. The surface is quite durable and forgiving, meaning you can contact it with a hard utensil and it won't scratch.
