They're clevis pins and do what clevis pins do best, lay around waiting for a need to be used. Assortment of sizes is good, stainless is a plus and quality is apparent. This review is for the o-rings. There's a lot of reviews here that are bad that are not for o-rings, they're for cotter pins and other items I don't know why they're mixed in with this product. These o-rings are great, they're well made as far as I can tell, work just fine in the case is very thick and heavy duty. The only issue I have, is that there's no way to keep the case shut tight. If there was a little slider that goes over the two closure pieces on the case, then it's missing. But it also comes with a little nice box, so you can slide the whole red case inside of the box and keep it in there. That's what I'm doing. Otherwise I would give this five starsnanook

Nice to get the real deal for a change. These are made of properly dimensioned and heat treated spring steel. They are not re-designated metric dimensioned items; that's what I get sometimes. No corners were cut in the manufacturing of these. They have the snap in the rings, unlike another cheaper brand I recently acquired that when opened with proper snap-ring pliers they just stayed that way, no snap; I can actually and easily bend those up into other shapes with just my ancient arthritic fingers. I think I'll be open to trying other items of the NEIKO brand.wilsondoctor
